Alarm & immobiliser question

Got an 07 SV1000 with a Meta M357T V2 alarm. Problem is it only came with one key.

I don't really even want the alarm, how hard are these things to remove?

Also, does the bike have a Suzuki immobilier or anything like Honda HISS as standard? If alarm was removed, could I just ket normal spare keys cut anywhere?

Thanks.

Those darn alarm/security systems can be a real bugger to remove. If you search there have been several threads where people have tried to remove them....and found that the installers were VERY creative and made it difficult. One in particular I remember had the wire colors changed so you couldn't just follow the schematic and hook everything back up as it was from the factory.

If you really want rid of the system, I'd call the people who install them and have them remove it for you as they probably won't be willing to tell you where they've sabotaged it so you'll have a time doing it yourself. The stock Suzuki ignition wiring has a 100 ohm resistor in one of the wires to help prevent people from hot-wiring it...but otherwise it's naked and a spare key should work fine.
