Smile GSXR600 07 front end on 07 SV1KS

any tips/tricks/suggestions for doing the install?

I have the full SV1 rim and good rotors on it and im getting the entire GSXR600 front end (with a GSXR1000 2005 upper triple for the fork lock) including clip ons and all that

I've seen several threads for the 650 but few if any for the 1000. more of just a before/after photo

Been told its pretty much bolt on so I feel it'll be easy once I figure out the jack setup

and if anyone has it...im assuming for the triple bearings one goes on bottom and one up top?

2007 SV1000S bought 4600.

"once I figure out the jack setup" I have my 06 on a rear stand and standard jack stands right now doing a similar but different set of work. I used my front and rear stands to get the bike off the ground, then used my floor jack to raise it about two more inches and supported the front from the bolts on the oil radiator using two car jack stands. Its probably not the best way to go about it but it works and is stable enough to hammer out the races in the steering head without it falling over.

I'd recommend picking up a new set of steering head bearings while you're in there. Our bikes are old enough that it's worth doing.

I use jack stands under my frame sliders when I need to remove the triple.
