View Full Version : Frame Sliders (SuperSliders) Group Discount
Torque Monster
4th January 2005, 01:17 AM
Hey Everyone:
For those of you interested, I am in the midst of arranging a group discount with Visionary-Technologies (Supersliders). The deal is this so far...5 orders gets us a 15% discount on the sliders. More orders I don't know right now.
From feedback I've read from other members, their topnotch sliders. Here is the web site http://www.bikesliders.com
Let me know what the interest level is like and I'll continue ironing out the details.
The price without any discount is $90 US for the SV1000 and $85 US for the SV650 (plus S&H). For more info see the website.

My friend went down on his 650. Damage could have been a lot worse, for example needing a new radiator. I personally went down on my old ZR-7S and I wish I had something like this otherwise the bike wouldn't have been "totalled" by the insurance company due to some engine nicks.
After his mishap he contacted Peter Kielland and got replacement parts at a substantial discount from buying new. He's a nice guy.
Oh...when we originally ordered them he sold us the 2 pairs and only charged one instance of shipping. As I said...good product, nice guy.
As an added benefit me and my friend like to put our legs up on them and then put our arms up in the air like we're holding onto ape-hangers to make fun of harley guys when we see them on the road.
Edit: The end of the bolt bent a bit in the crash and needed to be replaced, but I think that's a good thing. I wouldn't want something TOO rigid being tied in to the engine like that and getting dragged across the pavement. It's like the frame...some flex is ok :)

The swingarm sliders are too short to do much good.Even mounted on the outside of spools and useing longer bolts they are still too short. You can use them as spools if you have the pit-bull stand. They are machined to fit those specifically. Before you hurt the swingarm you will have to grind thru the slipons.Ride safe....................Les

Just to let you know we are moving forward with the group discount :supsmiley . I will need to provide Visionary with a list of confirmed names. The cut off date right now will be January 14th, 2005. I think that gives everyone enough time to see the post.
Here is his email to me tonight. A note of interest is the all black sliders they're producing for the '05.
Hi Paul:
Glad to see good feed back and interest!
The first thing to do is figure out who is in and what they want. Depending how many are being ordered, I can also give a discount (15%) on my other products. Everyone will be purchasing from me and I will ship out directly to each customer. Your job as the organizer is to keep track of how many people are involved and what they want then relay that information to me. I would really prefer that everyone involved uses PayPal because it is a much longer process if they send a money order. As far as future members getting a discount, I can't give every one a discount on a one to one basis though someone organizing another group buy is an option.
How fast were you planning on wrapping up the group buy? I say this because I am out of stock right now. I should have all new stock by the end of next week.
It might be interesting to some of the forum members to know that I am now producing all black frame sliders (aluminum bases included) to match the 05's or for those who prefer a uniform colour. This is at no extra cost.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers
Johann
I'll post a list of confirmed names next week before I send the list out. I'm still working out the payment details so I'll keep you posted.

Here is the latest update for the group discount:

Subject: RE: SuperSliders Group Discount
Hi Paul:
Sorry for the delayed response, I've been fighting a wicked flu.
There is no need to e-mail me for a quote prior to sending the payment. Listing the make and model and what they are ordering in the comments section will work fine. I would prefer that no one starts sending payments until after the close date of the group buy. I'm not sure how eager the board members are to wrap up the group buy but I would like to leave the offer open for 2 weeks before closing the group buy. For people buying more than just frame sliders, I will apply 15% off the total price.
You guessed it, the aluminum will be black anodized. I've had a lot of interest on the all black sliders from both the 05 owners and owners that would just prefer it be all the same colour. Actually, I'll make both styles in this next batch so people can have a choice.
Keep me updated.
Thanks
Johann
I just want to make sure everyone who originally posted is still interested and that you don't mind waiting until January 21, 2005 to close the offer.

What Oneida is selling IS NOT supersliders!!You need to look at what they look like! Those pieces of sh&t that Oneida sells are a lot different from the ones Peter sells at www.bikesliders.com .Seriously,go to the Oneida site and look. Those look like standard Suzuki items to me.And one more thing, the name "supersliders"are used by at least 2 different folks making sliders. The one that was recomended by people on this site was the ones made in Canada.Ride safe.....................Les
That's exactly what I was going to say...well not quite, I was going to take a softer approach. You're right though, the sliders Oneida sells mounts to the forward engine bolt and if you notice, does not go through to other side of the frame. I had some like that (wife bought for Christmas, it's the thought that counts right!) and returned them because they were a joke. Personally I haven't done any testing to prove which is better, but my good judgement and engineering background says Bikesliders are the ones to go with.
Of course, it's everyones personal choice what they want to use

Oh, Ok...I did not realize that the sliders for this post were anything different from Suzuki stock sliders. I was happy enough just buying the stock ones.
