i paid $8,599.00 US, minus a $400.00 instant rebate through the dealer, so basically $8,200.00 US dollars. that didnt include tax or the tag or anything else

$8,599.00 US is the MSRP, so anything above that is extra cash in the dealers pocket. im sure you would have no problem talking the dealer down in price. some dealers just make extra cash on people who dont challenge the price

Drove it away for $7700 plus tax (after trade) and typical fees. All told $8268.16. Worth every penny, and then some..... :niceone:

Mose,

How much for shipping off E-Bay, or did you pick it up in OHIO ?

Basically the MSRP is $8,599-00.

If the dealer charges you any more than that he is scalping you. Tell them you will pay MSRP and that is all. Dealers often mark up their prices and catch buyers this way.

Don’t pay anything for setup or delivery either.

Ask for free stuff as well…like a helmet, jacket etc. If you don’t ask you will never know and all that they can say is no if they cant do the deal. They threw in a first service for $50 as well…usually it is $165…but I serviced the bike myself so didn’t make use of that discount.

Call Suzuki of Cheyenne, Wyoming (307) 632-7963. Although…I believe that I bought the one and only SV1000S that they had on the floor and I’m not sure if they have more on order.

Nitro,
I paid $7300 out the door at Honda East in Maumee(Toledo), OHIO. That's close to you, ain't it? I drove from Madison, WI to pick it up as the dealers by me were shmucks. Well, maybe it ain't so close to you, but you'll have her broke in by the time you get back!

Hey Octane,
How was it dealing with those guys? I've seen they had one listed on E-Bay for $6,500 (Buy it now)... It's about a 5 hour drive from me, but might well be worth it. My local dealer wants about $7,800 for a Copper S, and $7,200 for a blue nekkid.

Any hidden, sneaky fees there, or are they decent people??

P.S. I know, I just bitched about insurance, but I'm not giving up the idea yet :P

SV1000S @ $7399+tax+fees. Bought at the end of the season (I only had good enough weather to put 500 miles on it), so I'm sure that helped. They took a good chunk off the accesories (jacket, gloves, and helmet) I bought as well.

Mine was US$8000. My buddy works at his dad's dealership, so he chopped $600 off the price without my asking. Of course, I was at his wedding so I kinda expected a bit of a break...

I got my Yosh 3/4 system for an additional $660.

You didn't get much of a break. Mine was $7650 out the door, and that includes Virginia state taxes which are something like 3.5%. The bike itself was about $7200.

Oh yeah, I got 0% financing for a year :D

Got my silver SV1000S '03 for $7386.00 in Tulsa, OK. 2.9% financing, and no dealer fees. Tax was 3.0% since I registered it in South Dakota.

Oh, and I live in Texas, so he drove it down to me in the dealer's pickup truck 5 hours south to deliver it to me on the same day.

He also gave me dealer cost on my helmet, icon ti-max jacket and gloves.

And I get 25% off all future accessory purchases.

Yes, it was a year end deal. The sticker on the bike in the showroom said "Make offer"!
