I've just ordered some Ti bolts for my brake (f+r) calipers from www.tastynuts.com. If you're after a set of stainless bolts for the whole bike, chewy I'm sure will provide at an excellent price.

I didn't intend to "let you down" on the footrest eliminators. I had to wait until yesterday, when I got paid to send you the money. I had every intention of paying you for them, but noticed that you sold them anyway, so I guess you didn't want to wait on me, which is fine. My loss, no big deal, I'm not going to cry about it.

Ok here is an update I have got the grommets for the clocks area x2 spot on I have the 8 needed for the hangers spot on plus one for the right hand side frame spar spot on but made a slight oversight in the swing-arm pivot points as they are two different size holes and I only measured one side so my samples that I got in the post today wont fit. :(
A bit tricky on the left as there is a couple of threads poking out that may just get in the way thats the side I measured  .
Don’t worry I will get it sorted ASAP.

chewy22
7th February 2005, 10:33 AM
Think I will have this one sorted this week as I have some new samples to fill the swing-arm pivot points on there way will post up details ASAP.

chewy22
10th February 2005, 10:38 AM
Well maybe next week

This is proving to be a little difficult to solve the issue of the swing arm pivot points I received some more samples in the post today but they are not a good fit so back to searching for something else. I can make the large one fit on the left side with some liberal use of the hack saw and a sharp knife but I am still looking for something that will just pop into place.

chewy22
10th February 2005, 11:41 AM
I made them fit to my bike but theres now way I will sell them as part of the kit because I had to make to many adjustments to do so.

Like what?

I had to trim about 12mm off the back of the left one and using a sharp knife trim a little bit of the web then tap it in with a wooden block it will pop back out about the same for the right one.

That doesn't sound like too much work providing people know upfront that they are going to have to some modifying.

I now have the two samples for the swing-arm pivot point and just awaiting how much these are going to cost I should have received a phone call today but I expect it will be tomorrow now. I am working on batches of 50 pairs and I expect them to go out fast judging how many PMs I have had asking about progress I don’t have a ballpark figure yet but the kit will have 11 other grommets to fit the footrest hangers and one for the right hand side of the frame. Sorry didn’t have time to photo them fitted to the bike but they fit like a glove and simple to remove should you want to use the ABBA stand. I will post up close ups on the bike in the morning.
They have two little cut outs at the back to allow you to pop them out using a small screwdriver.
These two are the proto types so they will be much better finished than these when finished so please take little notice of how they look at the moment also we will be using a different material than the sample.

We think it will drive the price far to high so decided not to do it and also we could not get the logo spot on with the material the little line between the S and V was to small to get right using one of my stickers as a template.
