Here's a quick idea, though:
Give the specs on the Blue LED's (exact size/current draw, etc). That way, those people who don't want blue can just go down to Radio Shack and get the color they desire. Might not be quite as cheap as buying them in bulk, but a few extra bucks isn't a big deal. Just my two pennies ;)

I could buy a supply tomorrow but the lowest order was for £5000 worth of LEDs can’t stretch to that but don’t worry I have two other points of contact to get me a smaller batch from somewhere else. Will have an answer tomorrow afternoon I hope.

More good news I have only been driving past a small set out of the way workshop that Specialises in these SMDs for years with out knowing of there existence so I popped in this afternoon No problem sir how many do you need and do you want a service so we can fit them for you. Unbloody believable.
So I will be taking my gauges down to him next week to have a costing done and make 100% sure we are using the same LEDs

I have got most of the costs sorted out at my end now for a DIY kit or a send it to me and I will get it professionally installed just need to work on the packaging and total breakdown costs including postage insurance. Petrol costs etc, as I have to travel to get each one done. Boxes packaging static bags you know the score.
These guys have all the right tools even the tool to lift out the LCD displays. Now the cost below may seem high but I get very little out of this, it’s what I have to pay out.
Expect something around £10 for the DIY kit with instructions Updating them tomorrow.
And around £40 for me to get it done for you this is not the final cost as I need to finalise everything.
There has been a lot of work in me getting this sorted so I do hope you are all still on board one way (DIY) or the other send it to me.
If you forgot what this was all about here is a picture of mine fitted tonight.

Going to keep this one UK only Should be no more than one maybe two weeks depends on there workload. It will only be the postage that will slow things down between us members. He did mine in one hour today Took it down 2:30 went home then back as I didnt expect it to be ready today and had it back on the bike 5 oclock

Should have made myself a little more clear on this one. Yes i will send a DIY kit anywere in the world but will only do the guage service for the UK for now. As you US guys have BLUE GUAGES.com over there to do yours, but he will not sell you a DIY kit. :angry2:
chewy22
25th February 2005, 06:11 PM
Full DIY kit with 6 sheets of instructions and pics now completed will be ready to post next week anywere in the world. Price will be £12. It will be added to my web page ASAP.
I will be offering a replacement service from here SORRY UK ONLY but just need a little more time to set that up. If you buy my diy kit and you are not happy to go ahead fitting them yourself then you soon will be able to send your gauges and LEDs back to me then and I will have them professionally done for you.

The best quote I have had is £37 plus postage and packing and you will need to include insurance as I have discovered these cost £370 to replace. To date most have done the work them selves with no problems to speak of, as I feel my instructions are clear enough. A few have found a local electronic wiz kid to fit them for £5. The quote above is with nothing added for my costs and paypall loss of about 4%. Will see if I can sort something out a little cheaper
