When you want to park your car on double yellow lines, find a car who already has been issued a parking ticket/fine by a traffic warden, pinch it of his car and put it on yours.
The traffic warden will not bother with your car as they can only issue one ticket at a time to a car. Keep the ticket in the glove box to use again another day.
So simple, why didn't I think of this before. :wallbash:

Great idea mate, but sadly it is a criminal offence to tamper with someones parking ticket, the chap who has recieved it will more than likely get taken to court for not paying the fine and lumbered with a huge bill because of your actions.
Why dont you keep an old ticket in your glovebox and recycle it now and again...
Or park responsibly, surely its not that much of an effort.
Not wishing to preach, I get at least 15 tickets a year just because of where I live and the lack of space to park.

I used to use a variation of that trick in Boston. Take your own recent ticket and stick it under the wiper, reasoning being that the ticket officer could only ticket you once per day.
Unfortunately, now, the greedy bastards can ticket every 2 freaking hours.

What if the parking warden knows he has not ticketed you're car, and then you have one?
Could be more grief than its worth..

I used to use my old tickets in colllege like that. Thing is, they usually make your tire with chalk to see how long you've been there. Then when they come back around, they mark the new cars and look for ones that have been there for two hours (already chalked.)

from my experience, they're pretty lenient in most places here in the US. i've only received one warning for parking on a sidewalk, & that's because i didn't see the motorcycle parking area.

lol, in my old student days [as opposed to my new student days] there was a problem with students parking illegally in front of people's houses. the school was really getting some heat from the community for it, as the police never seemed to give parking tickets out. one day my freind and i decide to act on behalf of the houseowners by making fake parking tickets. he had access to fancy paper that looked like it could very well be parking ticket paper. so we made these parking tickets up and started sticking them under the wiper blades of our friends' cars.
it was great fun for a week until someone caught-on. somehow they figured that it was us. :wallbash:
it did help the parking issue though!
ah, the good ol'days. . .

Ah, I meant my undergrad college - Ithaca College in NY. ;)
Ithaca would charge your account, but unless it was more than $100, it didn't affect anything. I hear at UF if you have $1 on your account, you're flagged and can't do anything. Bastards...
FWIW - I did actually go to UF for grad school about 12 years ago, but I never got a parking ticket. Grad students get better parking... Actually, I would just ride my mountain bike and hang it from a hook in my chem lab. Don't even ask how I got from chem to network engineer. :offtopic:

Fair point, suppose you could just make a parking ticket, piece of paper in a plastic bag, shoved under the wiper blade... Who's gonna look that close ?
Think I've only ever had one in my whole life...

Yep, but in London people are either taking their plates of the bike or putting covers over the bikes, the Wardens can't tamper with the cover to see the reg plate!
I f**king HATE traffic wardens!
This is for every traffic warden that ever walked the Earth..... :nutkick:
