Looks good M8!
Have you thought of powder coating the wheels black?
It makes the Streetfighter in the bike just jump out!
Cheers:niceone:

I like your bike, it looks to be very well maintained. The bikini fairing is original, as I haven't seen anything like it before.
As far as things "I" would change. One of the first things would be the pipes, because you just have to free all the beautiful V-Twin music that it can provide.
Enjoy

Nice bike and there is no db killer that you can take out. You can do a mufflerectomy on it- drill out the plate that sits inside the pipe to restrict flow and noise. I myself did one while I was saving up for my aftermarket pipe.

yeah,
but doesnt it take some power away from the bike when you drill some holes into that plate, or do you get some free hp out of it ?
i dont want to screw up my bike you know
thanks for replys

I suggest you do a search on this forum (SV1000 threads), there's been numerous post that discuss how to unleash that V-twin bark by drilling holes/slots into the baffles. There's even pictures that show you how to do it.
It would work equally well on your 650 I guess.
BTW very nice bike you have there, Where did you get those mirrors ? I like them!

The 650 cans are spot welded together in strategic places. This makes disassembly almost impossible! You can probably take it apart but it will never look the same again!
Save up a few hundred whatever and buy a A/M can.:niceone:

Yes, very nice :supsmiley
She looks better than my 650 .... for now :devil2:
I picked her up in Jan, so the modding has only just begun.
As for what you should do next ... whatever YOU want. It's your bike! Change it to suit your personality. I will say that the carburated models are known to have a bit of a lean spot between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm's. One of the first things I did was rejet my carbs.
