Hey Shinobi. Welcome to the site. What is wrong with Stoppies, Wheelies, etc... World needs squids too... How else will the insurance companies milk the rest of us for what we are worth?

a SQUID is a motorcycle term used to identify a certain type/kind of rider that does stupid, obsence or dangerous acts while at the same time thinking that there's nothing wrong with it.

ex: doing about 120mph+ down a city highway, or 90+mph down a school-zone area. those are what make a "squid" a "squid".

Hey, 90 in a school zone is only a squid move if you are doing a table-top wheelie...

Not like I have done 90 in a school zone... I stick to a cool 88

Thanks for the explination. I've always heard of squids as being sailors and might have become offended.... :weeping:

Yes welcome to the site.

Welcome.
BTW what's a Squid? apart from being a 10 tentacled sea creature?

There are many meanings to the word squid below are 2.

1. Squid
A young motorcyclist who overestimates his abilities, boasts of his riding skills when in reality he has none. Squid bikes are usually decorated with chrome and various anodized bits. Rear tyres are too wide for their own good, swingarm extended. Really slow in the corners, and sudden bursts of acceleration when a straight appears. Squids wear no protection, deeming themselves invincible. This fact compounds in itself with the fact that they engage in 'extreem riding'--performing wheelies and stoppies in public areas. Squids wreck alot. Derived from 'squirly kid'

Ex: We were suddenly passed by a chromed out R1 and when we rounded the bend, we saw the squid wrapped around a tree, he'd probably be alive if he was wearing a helmet.

2. squid
An extremely rare animal with a short lifespan. Usually a new sport bike enthusiast with the reasoning of a lunatic, whom you might see thrashing on an R1 wearing sandals, shorts, and a tee.
When found lying motionless on the pavement, this creature transforms itself into a stream of blood, exposed flesh, and broken limbs. Hence the squid moniker.

EX: Did you see that guy leave the showroom on the R6? Did you see what he was wearing? What a moron. That Squid.

SQUID:

Stupid
Quick
Underdressed
Imminently
Dead
