If only UK service was like this. Ordered online 1st Sept, asked them by e-mail 5th if order had been despatched.
Reply received same day to say yes. Account debited that day, package received 8th.
Cost was a total of $40. If I'd got them from the UK supplier it worked out around £55!
It's so rare to get the correct product, in the promised timescales. Shame we have to get them from 4,000 miles away.

Skidz - if you or anyone else is interested I'll be doing another order this weekend - I'll get enough for a group if necessary.
I have to order more since a U-turner took the bike down today, after I fitted the lenses yesterday. One got smashed.

Yeah. Cept I now need to order another set - once the insurance company replaces the bike.
It was stolen tonight, 2 minutes (according to the crappy CCTV coverage) before I went back to it.

Warren, regarding clear light lenses,I am pretty sure you can get clear(or white) lamps to fit your Ermax undertray, after all they are only Ford Focus or Mondeo side repeaters.
I am sure i,ve seen them in Halfords or a Ripspeed catalogue or something, will check it out and post a reply.

warren, checked out the indicator situation, clear side repeater lamps for the Ford Mondeo or Focus are available from Ford dealers for the princely sum of £2.44 each. :niceone:
I have got the part number ,but want to try them out first before leading anyone astray, being tight i'm going to see if i can " acquire" one from our salvage yard tomorrow for comparison.
If as i suspect ,they fit ok will post the part number .

Pete,
I took bike to work and one of the scrutineers did indeed point out that the rear indicators are from a Ford Focus, Ford badge and all!
So.........down to my local garage
"2 Focus RS side repeaters please"
"£5.70 sir"
Job Done, Thanks for putting me on the that, a bit more uniform now....Pic when fitted.
Still need to find a solution to the low wattage capless bulbs though, anyone know of any greater than 5W as it is a devils own job to find them!

I got some Clear Alternative lenses too. I spray painted some clear bulbs with transparent red model paint for the rear signals. I don't want to be like every other bike on the road. It took about 5 or 6 thin coats to get them the right color.

Nice one Warren :niceone: ,glad to be of some help.
How did you get over the bulb problem, paint them as suggested or did you find some higher rated capless bulbs?

Sadly, I have yet to find anywhere that does a capless bulb greater than 5W. Andy sent me some bulbs but the fitting was totally different to mine (Bayonet Type).
My local motor factors stock Lucas yellow capless bulbs at 99p a throw, so not too an expensive mod to do. Goes well with the fronts now :niceone:

Thanks bigthumpa now on order. I had seen a pair of these at the NEC last year on a stand can`t remember the one but the price they were asking was £55 a pair. These work out at just under £11 all in. What a rip off this country is sometimes.

Was told by an MOT tester that he had failed a number of cars with clear indicator lenses and coloured bulbs as the coating on the bulb burns off after a while making the light flash almost white. Probably not a problem on bikes as they don't get as much use but thought I'd mention it.

where is that part number for chewy?
Are they capless as well?
I would like to go up to 23w so at least the indicators can be seen. Do the work without the resistors?
Cheers

No they don`t. Need just a little bit of filing to make them fit. My amber ones did not have the ford code on them but the rest of the lens is just the same.

my electrics are a different fitment. The bulbs are the capless 5W interior bulbs, also like the ones used on the side lights of an R6. They have no metal sheath at the bottom.
Must have been one of the first batch or a rougue one they made up ;)

Shame about that. Yours must have been one of the 1st ones to go out. I think the only way to solve this is to cannibalize something or speek to ERMAX.
