Great place, i used to run the "White Lion" at the top end of town.
Now that was a place with some serious drinkers.

MazPillion

Well, left there when I was five and a half - a few years ago, but still have family friends there. I guess the serious drinking thing rubs off at an early age!!!! (But then I was born in Nottingham, probably why my folks called me Marian... I were born in Sherwood......) and when I was at Trent Poly, we drank 4 pubs dry on one evening in Rag week :Punk:

Students................they rock, :Punk: and spend loads on  . Don't know how they find the time to study, what with the hangovers they must have.
Then again i have four working for me part time, to earn enough to get blasted every week..... Great stamina :headbang:

Moi je ne parle pas bien anglais et je fais beaucoup de fautes, dés fois même en francais.
Alors on en voudra pas aux anglophones s'il font des fautes ou des erreurs.

Small world - I used to spend a lot of time in Farnsfield, my Dad was apprentice to a guy who lived there, and although their kids were all a bit older than me, we used to play a lot, go scrumping, crabappling, chat up the chippy there for scrapings.....I guess it has all well and truly changed around there now :D

Too true Maz, Farnsfield has gone very posh. Used to be a good pub there though, the Plough. I used to go often on a Sunday lunch after i had been shooting in the winter.

MazPillion

I can't imagine Farnsfield posh. I think you can safely say that the area where we lived hasn't gone posh - Clifton  just huge - believe it is one of the biggest council estates in europe! We moved from there to Boston, Lincs, and then back up to Worksop, after that Dad got work abroad, in India, Pakistan, Singapore and Indonesia..... we got around a bit!!!

Ma famille possède un distributership d'approvisionnement de soudure qui emploie BOC en tant que notre fournisseur en bloc... Les produits d'air est notre concurrence ! Heureux de voir un type de gaz de camarade dans les rangs ici !
