The wife and I are Visiting friends in St Just this week, Mon - Fri (she'll take the car so I'll be able to enjoy the ride down!!)

Wondered if there are any SV1K'ers in southern Cornwall who'd maybe like to meet up somewhere for a drink? Won't be able to do too many miles when down there as the missus isn't into longer rides and I'd just be pushing my luck too far to disappear off on my own!! If the weather keeps up maybe meet one evening at a pub with a garden.

Give me a ring on my mobile 0777 396 1692 - leave your phone number on the answerphone.

Well, no one phoned me but had a great time anyway - maybe there are no SV1K's that far south?

Couple of photos......

Pic with St Michaels Mount, Marazion (couple of miles north of Penzance) in the background. Should have done the photos Monday or Tuesday in the glorious clear sky hot sunshine...typical!

Me and the missus...don't know why she looks cold as it wasn't....mind you she'd done a few miles on the back of the bike and wasn't that impressed with the comfort.

Oh...and a confession....I adjusted the colour of the sea and sky to give it a blue tinge instead of the rather dull grey it was really!!!! ;)

I wondered when someone would pick me up on that....why is there such a stigma about wearing these (don't bother answering...retorical question!). It was given to me 3.5 years ago and hung up in the garage unused ever since!.......must have reached that certain age where you start getting sensible (and/or recent close call might be a factor) so donned it for the first time....got me a wave from a copper on a bike!!

No, I always wear leathers but we've not found any leather jeans for the missus yet...always ride very sedately with her on board but no excuse, must get some for her.

In horse riding circles wearing yellow fluorescent jackets is a fashionable trend for the rider as well as your horse. Makes those dozy drivers see you a full second or two sooner but they still don't slow down or even make the effort to allow some room just in case. I have to say the most respectful drivers are those of motorbikes - every time.
