Guess what! The SV held up pretty well actually. The damage isnt too extensive. She slid on the exhaust can for most of it, which managed to bend the subframe. Still going to cost some bling, and take some time. :(

Looks like we suffered the same type of damage in our crashes except my tank and tail section were OK.

Glad to see you are relatively unscathed.

Yea, anyone who thinks they might have issues with 'build quality' should have a look at these here forks.... Guy in a jeep decided his stopsign was 'optional' that day. Jeers for me (and the front fairing), but the left can and forks took up almost all the shock :shock: The triple tree came out unscathed, but that one subframe rail that attaches to the can got -slightly- twisted... can hardly tell really. Heheh gives me a good excuse to scare Speed Triple owners in the mean time heheheh

And the side w/can damage.... was only goin' 25mph or so... good gear is worth the paycheck........ :doh:

and I'll add this one only because people keep stopping me and asking 'What kind of bike is that??' followed by 'Oh, but it looks coool like that!' eheh looks like it got a good romp on with a speed triple and a bike thief, if you ask me.... :ph34r:

(No flames, please!! New parts are on back order still hehe :argh: )

I will completely second the good gear bit. My leather saved me when I hit the trees doing 60.

So, how many of us SV riders have crashed their bikes, so far? Maybe we should do a poll as to how many of each color have crashed. Is copper more dangerous?

Also, what kind of bodily injuries.

Might be interesting....
