Good day fellow motorcyclists

I am currently making an attempt to get a group buy on Elka shocks.
• Custom-built for each rider’s personal needs
• High-quality products handcrafted from the finest materials
• One of the widest selections of applications and adjustment options
• Quick production and delivery time
• Personalized customer service and after-sales support
• Accessible technicians to help you with set-up and fine tuning
• Accessible and reliable service department
The price I am currently negotiating is
$734 for a custom built 2-way street and track (compression, rebound, and ride height)
$843 for a custom built 3-way full race (high compression, low compression, rebound, ride height)
This is over $130 off the retail price.
They are both custom valved and sprung for your needs and it takes about 2-weeks to build and 3-4 days to ship.
What do you think?

Just in case you don't get enough people together for this, Traxxion Dynamics has similar prices everyday:

The 2-way is $735 and the 3-way is $895, so the real savings for you would come from a group buy of the 3-way version. Good luck!

LE Suspension has the same prices FWIW.

I will be keeping a close eye on this thread, I would likely go for a 2-way.

I hate to sound so dim, but I know I'm among friends, so here goes: Is this a rear shock we're talking about?

it is a rear shock but from the sound of it we are not exactly getting a deal so I am going to ask him what the deal is or dump the Idea all together.

I would like to change out my rear shock but if you can buy them from distributors for the "group buy" price, really, why should you go through the work of organizing it?

I'll keep an eye on your thread, and thanks for trying to put something together.

I let him know what was going on so he may get a better price but for the most part I think he got me:blush: I plan on using this against him:gun_bandana: we will see what I can pull off.

it looks like he does not care to go any lower so 10-20 bucks is not worth a group buy for me sorry for the mistake everyone. it is still a good deal on a shock if you want to order one.

Don't ever apologize for trying to help get a deal! If it weren't for forums like this, you'd never know if you were getting the best bang for your buck. I often check here to see if what I'm looking to buy is in the right ballpark. No matter what, there's always a better deal out there somewhere. It just depends on how hard you look or how desperate you are to buy. Keep up the good work.
