Hi,
been lurking in the shadows here for months trying to decide what to buy. Finally got off the fence and purchased a SV1000S last week. I found a deal in northern Wisconsin I just couldn't pass up.
I'm a V-twin nut and love to ride! Now I just have to wait for the snow to clear before I can enjoy the bike. :(
Thanks to all the members of this forum. The content is excellent and was a great resource in helping me make my decision!

Better be careful up there with those "other" v-twins being turned out locally. :pokey:
Oh wait, you can just outrun them. :bleh: That will really piss them off.
Really, welcome and warmer weather will be here before you know it. :msn-wink:

Funny you should mention it, I own one of those "other" v-twins (96 Buell ST2) and Mom works on the line assembling the engines.
I've got a feeling I'll enjoy this one just a touch more.

No matter what they ride, those who ride are better off than those who don't.

Alright bryd
Ive pretty much gone through the same thing.. wondering, wanting, wondering...for several months.
It was decided on a GSXR1000 at first, then a K4 750, then a deal on an 03 R1 was up for grabs etc etc Until i saw the light :cool2:
All the mates can say is 'My wife would like one of those"
I'm looking forward to getting it though. I've never had or ridden a big twin - i don't think my old CB250N's count :D So i'll be learning NOT to make sure i'm hitting 8-9,000+rpms before turning in ;)

Byrd, welcome. Being spoiled down here in Texas, our riding seasons are opposite. This is some of the best riding time before it gets to 115 degrees F. in the summer. Ick! Welcome, again.

Cheer Byrd   Even though you can't ride the bike now, you can still enjoy it's beauty. Good time to get a rear fender eliminator from Normsthename!!
