It does look a bit like he was yanked off but still, don't know how it can be a fake. Maybe he felt like he was about to highside and threw himself off? I like how he looks over his shoulder after hopping back on...then gassing it!! :niceone:

I don't know if this qualifies as a save (exactly), but the bike doesn't go down. :D

Ahh Crap!
He posted it under crashes (even though the guy didn't crash).
That's why I didn't see it. I looked...honest.

Pretty cool but I gotta call bs. I don't see how the bike would have slowed enough for him to get back to it.

To me the film looks sped up. They could have filmed it at low speeds, had someone at the front of the bike (out of camera) keeping the bike moving and wiggleing it a little bit, until the guy "ran" back up to it. The direction changes of the other riders seem a bit quick for someone at race pace.

Why the hell did he fall off the back? Didnt seem like much of a bobble to me.
Maybe hard to tell from that viewpoint.

Joe.

I would stomp on the brakes if someone ahead of me biffed it in a corner. I'd make sure I could get around the corner safely.

Who cares about speed when my blue baby is at stake!?!?? :sweatdrop:

Instead those guys do a "weave" around the rider and his bike. One goes to the riders left and the bikes right, the other goes to the riders right and the bikes left.

To bad I'll never be that lucky.
And it does seem a little to good to be true, however, gyroscopic motion is hard overcome.

I was watching the actual camera view and if it was mounted to the bike, it seems to be moving around alot to be a fixed mount....

I'm pretty sure it's staged.

Here's the same footage on youtube.

With the exception of the skateboard one, they look extremely realistic. :first:

I was thinking the one of the shark following in the wake of the "off screen" boat was pretty classic. Boat to faux fin to fish pole.....kinda what it looked like to me anyway. A least I've never seen a shark leave a wake in front of it's self......

The skateboard "trick" was stupid  The shark looked pretty good but still phony. That was a LARGE fin and the beach would have been cleared.....and the fact that it grabbed the chum and pulled so neatly. But I'm sure there will be plenty who will swear it's real.:bleh:
