View Full Version : Opinions on Fieldsheer Kinowa Leather Jacket

Anyone have or know of anyone that has or has had this jacket?

It is a perforated leather jacket which I am hoping would be tolerable in the hot NC summers. The armor looks pretty good.

Any opinions or advice on a cool but protective summer jacket.

I've had a couple of sets of Fieldsheer leather suits. They get my vote :)

Most peforated leather jackets will offer you better protection than their meshed relatives. Also, get yourself something like an Under Amor t-shirt to wear and that will help keep you more comfortable in the heat.

I think it is a good looking jacket. I was thinking about one the other day at:

but I already have a fully perfed jacket so I finally talked myself out of spending the money.

most field sheer stuff was great and good value for money I still have a set of their winter gloves (no use to me here) sadly the company went belly up a few years ago. Another good make is Bering for perforated jackets

I have a jacket feildsheer jacket and it is nice. It is a good jacket for the price and serves its purpose.

I have a joe rocket perforated leather jacket and it is nice but hot.It is not all that cool for a summer jacket because it is leather. Or it could be because I live in TX.

So for a summer jacket I now wear feildsheer Congo Sport textile perforated jacket .It is allot cooler then the leather one.

Well it's been really hot here in North Carolina. I just moved from south Florida so its not as hot as down there but still hot !!!

So I think I might go with a Joe Rocket 4.0 or 5.0. I can get the 4.0 for like $90 and the 5.0 for about $135-140. There have been some cosmetic changes for the 5.0 (2008 jacket). For example, it looks like they beefed up the elbow protection.

Come fall/winter I might see about a leather jacket.
