Hi Guys,

I've been looking around in the forum but I didn't manage to find a thread dedicated to this.

I am looking for a pair of good waterproof gloves and I want to spend about £100 for them.

Till now, I have shortened my list to these two:

And these:

Has anyone tried them ?

Or can you suggest anything else? Price doesn't really matter, they can be a lot more or a lot less but they have to keep their waterproof nature...

I'm also in the market, actually for 2 pair, one for summer, one for cold weather. Those Alpinestars look decent, though I wonder if they would suit .. Looks like they might end up too thin for serious cold, and too warm for summer use..

True .. the Alpinestars don't look as thick as the Dainese.
Plus I have more trust on the latter because I have had the gore-tex troursers for a year and not a single drop of water has ever come through.
The dainese also have titanium knuckle protection, hence the difference on the price. I'm open to suggestions though...

I have the Alpinestar Tech Roads....they are a few years old and likely upgraded. As for being waterproof, yes they are. I'd say the optimal temp range is 50-75.

As for protection, never "tested" them but they are holding up well. Comfort I give them a B-. They are kinda stiff.

They are a Spring/Fall glove....not optimal for true summer use.

Well I won't even try to use them in the summer. They look alright though.. the list has grown...

i paid £80 for a pair of gloves that are thick and warm in the winter, but no pair of gloves will be 100percent dry in the pouring rain hence the marigolds

I beg to differ, not a drop of water has reached my hands in the whole time I have used these, including the ride to work recently where the motorway speed dropped to just 10mph because it was raining so hard, not even the namby pamby car drivers could see! I am still amazed at how good these gloves have been. (Rev it's).

Sealskinz gloves for warm rain, POW (HellyHansen) for colder rain and TourMaster coldtex for freaking cold rain.
Had my hands wet only once. I din't tack in gauntlets...
Sealskinz are simply amazing...they get heavy from water but never (torrential downpour) soaked through...better that goretex...
