SVDoo,

Congratulations and welcome aboard. You have just bought a very unique and great motorcycle and joined a great forum. A lot to be learned here.

Many SV1000 riding groups are forming around the US and in the world. If you don't mind please complete your profile with your city. That way you can get to know riders in your area.

Thanks....I am an old school Ducati rider so this thing is kinda different. My most modern bike is an old 88' Ducati Paso with 80k miles on it. My point of view is kinda wierd cuase this is the first Japanese bike I have ever owned. Not sure what to think really. I know one thing.....THAT DAM REAR FENDER HAS GOT TO GO!!!!! WTF were they thinking man?

For some reason when I first saw pics of the SV I said to myself "Hmmm. I kinda dig the look of that". The reviews started to come in and I was even more interested. Then i was lurking at this old SV site (the one before this one) and when actual riders started to give reviews of it I really started to look into it. I had never seen one in the flesh til last week really, only 650's. The copper is not my first choice (I wanted a Blue one dam it you euros) but the copper is not bad I guess.

First thing on the MOD list has got to be the angled pipe adapter.....For some reason that really makes the lines look better. Then slip-ons......still trying to fiqure out which ones. Way too many to think about, but I really like the look of the Leo Vinci's. Then I think the Suzuki hugger and Ermax under-tail.

I fitted Yoshimura slip on pipes, you can get a full system 2 into 1 if you want but I went with the extra expence and slipped on a pair of twin yoshi's.
The noise turns heads where ever I go.

is there an advantage to getting the trs pipes over the sr3 pipes...or is just a looks thing.

Where did you get those pipes? I,m looking at either yosh or a nice set of Akrapovics. maybe in a titanium :pcplod:

I rode her home yesterday......Man, very very nice motor on this bitch. Only got to put about 40 miles on her so far. You can find some pics here

I ordered up some angled can adapters this morning and onieda suzuki (spelling) has the seat cowls on sale right now for around $80 bucks so I got one coming. that thing on the back (i guess they call it a fender LOL) is going to get the ax real soon.
