Errr...where can I get an SV1000S for $5999?!? I found one dealer in Leesport, PA – except they were complete jerks when they found out I live out of state, and they said straight out they don't want to sell it to me.

Wonder how they make their mortgage payments....

So, yes, where exactly are the 1000's that cheap?

I found an SV1000S locally for $6999 today, which I'll most likely own before next week, but if I can get one for a thousand less, well hey! Just show me where!

Don't want to sell it to you cause you're from out of state?! What the hell....

Are they afraid of the money or something? Of course, if you're going to buy the bike cash, you could just show up with the money in hand, and say "I want that bike there." Worth a look: there's probably some law of some kind that says they can't refuse your business without a valid reason. Might be a bit of work, but hey, for a thousand bucks...

Just a thought.

You now it's funny, because at $5999 you're under dealer cost on a sv1k.

$5400 is good for a 650.

Get real Shawn, they couldn't stay in business selling motorcycles for less than cost.Motorcycles companies have a thing called HOLDBACK that they give a dealer once a year.that figure was 4% and I would think it hasn't shrunk.Anyway, this dealer has a new building two blocks off the beach and worth at least a couple of million, with at least 120 BRAND NEW bikes.I bought a brand new 2002 Suzuki Hayabusa Limited Ed.for $9200.00 cash, out the door.I guess you'll say he lost money on that one too. Ride safe....Les

My brother works for a suzuki dealership and that is below dealer cost. Nuff said. Les.

BTW, hold back and dealer cost are NOT the same thing.
