One of my customers is EBC brakes, I am looking into setting up a site discount for their bike stuff.
They do all sorts for bikes, but mainly pads and discs.
They do some real good quality stuff too.
Just posting really to guage what the interest would be?
So if you would be interest, this is the place to reply!
Andy.

These are the green stuff people are they not? I have their pads in my car, and they are great!
The bits I would be interested in are (not sure if they do all of this):
Green Stuff Pads
Wavey Discs
Braided Hose Brake Lines.
What sort of deal do you reckon they will do for you?

They are the "green stuff" people, i just bought a set for my car too.
Not sure what they do for the SV, but i have seen wavey discs in the factory so they def do them.

Not sure what deal i would get, the guy i need to speak to is on holiday till next week.
I think they are a global company and they are certainly in the US too so they are not limited to offering discount to just UK guys, so theoretically there is over a thousand potential customers here.
That sounds like good leverage for some haggling!!

Pukka they are some sexy stuff, I guess they would do them for a GSXR 750 which I believe is the same kiddy as ours!

Count me in esp. "wave rotors", and some more aggressive pads.

Thats great Andy. At last service at 11000 miles i was told that i have about 3000 miles left in the brake pads. Id order a set, and give Brians excellent instructions a go for changing them myself.
Cheers mate.

Way to go Andy, by all means set us up. :niceone:
I installed the double HH compounds - #FA158-HH (x2) front and #FA174-HH rear. More linear braking than stock and easier on the rotors.

So thats 5 of us, another 1831 to go!

Rotors and pads please. Mine will need to be replaced when the new front end is put on.
Wavey disks would be cool but I did not see them in there parts list for the SV. They do have some great SS and iron replacements listed. There HH pads when used with there rotors work great but the HH pads will eat up stock rotors. :weep:
Good stuff. I have used there products in the past. :Punk:

EBC make very good quality stuff, one thing i really like about the SV is the engine braking power but no doubt i will wear them out eventually.
Less dosh is always good

I would also be interested in pads, wavey disks, and lines! :niceone:
If they don't make wavey disks for the SV yet, perhaps you could pursuade them to start. I'd be happy to take on a demo set for test purposes

Dave, I've tried "softer" non-HH pads before and found the braking inferior.
Maybe the SV is different, I haven't tried other compounds on it. From my experiance nothing is harder on rotors than stock brake pads.

I haven't tried the HH pads on the SV but have on four other bikes. Great performance no doubt. The pads just seemed to wear the rotors much faster than the stock pads would. The feel and performance were greatly improved, I guess that is the price we pay.
If we can't get anything worked out here I will be going with SBK2 pads. They worked wonders on my R1. Better feel and stopping power with no noticeable change in rotor wear. Just touchy when wet.
Certainly not knocking anything EBC has on the market. It is top shelf stuff. This is just my past experience.

I want some and I want them now ( wavey rotors that is ) to go with my brake pads as discussed here: HH Pads (http://www.sv1000.zyns.com/forums/showpost.php?p=60922&postcount=1)

I'd be after a set of pads some time in the near future. i know its good kit as I fitted a pair of prolites and HH pads after a bent the set on my TL after a spill. Serious stopping power (with standard brake lines) and a lovely zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz noise when you get on them hard!!

I will be interested in a set of pads if they are better than the factory pads that I'm not that impressed with...

My mate is selling his falco, its only done about 1500 miles in two years.
But not because of faults, just cos he's a very scarce rider.
The only problem he had with his was a puncture.
Did you get the friday afternoon build on your bike then?

ok it moves on......
Ive spoke to the contact who runs their mail order and online site.
He is going to set up a coupon system so that we can log onto their site, type in the coupon and the discount will automatically be deducted from the bill, so you will be able to purchase anything from the site.
Now the discounts are not set yet, but expect to see around 5% on pads (more than that and they dont make money) and 10% on discs.
Plus for UK, there will be free P&P (this is very good and takes the real discounts up to i would imagine 10% and 15%)
For everyone else they will do a shipping deal and keep costs at rock bottom.
I am waiting for all this to be confirmed to me yet so dont go rushing off placing orders!
As soon as i get it in firm electronic type! i will conact admin to see what they want to do with it.
Also this is a STARTING discount, if there is a lot of interest, it can be looked at again.
Andy.

Well, its set up.
Will be emailing info to Brian tonight to post up.
Will have a voucher system to buy anything from the site.
Discount at the moment is only 5% but UK gets free P&P
www.brakes4u.co.uk (http://www.brakes4u.co.uk/default.asp?PARTNER=sv1000)
And at the moment there is NO VAT!!
they are a new online company and are not vat registered yet so cannot charge it.
The site is run by an EBC employee so prices should be the best on the net anyway.
Oh is there any ACU members on here?
Andy.
