FIRST OF ALL.... this change of password thing is crazy.. and extremely difficult, the computer shut me out numerous times.
Okay... MY HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT, yes, coming out of a Friday night bar, and I had to ride home with no headlights with half a buzz.
The Infamous Green Connector is fine ... but the YELLOW connector is showing a burn mark. Can this be my headlight fault? I currently have no Low or High beam... but DO have the little running lights.

If you have an 05 or up SV1000 the right handle bar connector can cause you to lose your head lights. The 05 and up bikes turn the lights off when starting. The cut switch is in the stater switch which uses that harness plug.
I have fixed many DLs big and little along with big and little SVs for the same issue.
I'm in the UK and went to the Isle of Man for the TT in 2016 - great except for my lights dying as I arrived there! During my stay I tried every advice I could find and eventually only had a positive result when I fiddled with the 3 connectors under the tank. My feeling is that the yellow one is suspect. With shame I relate that I have lived with it since then but because another trip is beckoning (Assen TT) I really ought to fix it! Before I start fiddling again it seems to me a good idea to have a new connector to hand, but it seems it's only available as part of a new wiring loom! Anybody know the manufacturer of these connectors, or where they can be obtained? - I'm thinking apart from bike breakers...
Thanks! That's true, but changing the connector would mean HAVING to rewire it all. If when I start investigating it appears only contact is faulty then I could replace just that one contact with a new one without disturbing the rest.
Or if you're having difficulty finding exactly what you want pull that contact and disolve the corrosion, make it a tight fit, apply electrical grease.
In all cases when the 05 and up headlight interrupt wires have been the issue at the plug, I have been able to just extract the two pins and replace the pins. Then just slide them back into the connector. Even in one case where the plug was slightly distorted from heat, they came apart and I was able to put new terminals on and make it look factory.

Well, time for a close look at your connectors, invest in contact cleaner, apply, connect, disconnect, apply, repeat 2-3 times, then firm up, and apply contact grease, this has worked for me in the past.
If it's definitely the yellow connector, you have the option of bypassing the light circuit via an additional relay, I found this with the search on the forums, you could get an auto electrician to do the work for you.
I get my connectors either through OEM service part number or K&L.
