top speed on the SV1000s sofar 262kph down hill with the wind. I thought that was fast untill my buddies passed me on an R1 and a 954 doing about 290kph, even my buddy with a 600 f4I passed me. But still a great bike for winning off the line. This was on a track of course.

On the North side of San Antonio there is a highway with some high walls on the side which blocks almost all the wind. I decided to see how fast I could go there once and was very suprised to look down at 155 miles/hour(250 km).

260 kph indicated on the SV and 270+ on my old Bandit.
As with Tony I have trouble with my leathers being sucked up off my back and flapping in the breeze, hence the disjointed vision.

151 indicated, what's that for real, 140 ?

On a naked SV1K it's a lot, I shan't be trying again though as it was a bit uncomfortable, but I had to see 150+ at least once in it's life.
Just ungrateful not to, Suzuki went to a lot of trouble building it, seems a shame not to try it out.

Sid
