Hull yes you should get here in about 2 hours from Hull. I will pick you up on the way if you wish But it's a very easy and good ride from there. I will post you a fantastic route before you come.

Chris, I would love to say yes, commit and come up on the new machine, unfortunately I cannot predict what I am doing in 2 months time, let alone 12 months time with working in the forces. Rumour control is I will be climbing a few mountains or two in a dry arrid place not far from Iraq, looking for Messr Bin Laden!!!

If the scope materialises later in the year then I will let you know!

That’s understandable Andy in certain lines of work you can’t plan that far ahead.
But most should be able to book a “weekend” off with 12 months advance notice.
I am also a little surprised of no response from the northern members here. Ok the thread has been up only 24 hours but the hits counter paints a different picture.

This is what you will get

Two terrific rides out
Top class Chinese buffet Friday
Meal sorted for you on Saturday
Something to do on the Saturday night (golf competition)
Visit the highest café in England
Visit the highest pub in England
Views and roads in the Lake District like you have never seen before.

This has the makings of a brilliant weekend, and I think it will start to fill up very soon. I can see there have been a lot of hits but I would think you can cut that number in half at least as some people will have visited the thread maybe 2 or 3 times.

I'm in!......money is always something I have to think about but with plenty of notice Just to clarify though, is it £75/night sharing or £75 for a long weekend
Can you chat to the owners and see what discount will be on offer dependant on achieving booking of X number of rooms.....I'd want three nights (Fri, Sat, Sun - travel up/back on Fri/Mon)

Love the sound of the whole plan so far..........best of all, all I've got to do is turn up!!

I hope you realise that I have pre booked 10 rooms more than enough to cover the ones committed in post 3 who will be here next year. Also there are another 19 rooms available Double only (Bring the wife or partner) but if they get a coach party booked in or they are taken before you make up your mind then it will be become a strictly limited SV weekend.
I will not be looking for alternative accommodation for the ones who leave it to late you will have to do that should the problem arise.

Cheque will be fine Ken . I will ask for them later in the week. I will also try and get you one of the rooms with a good view looking out to the duddon.
