Hi tlsteve, the tube has remained clear with no oil passage whatsoever. Don't know if it will stay this way but I have been giving the bike a good seeing to and its not leaked. Not sure what the differences are between models.

Brian,

Your instructions were impeccable. I just finished installing the Renegade Airkit, and thanks to your instructions, it took me about 1 hour !!! The PC3 took about 1 hour also. So, my hats off to you for all your help.

Hiya Jimbo, thanks for the vote of confidence - glad to have been of some assistance.

Bet you will really enjoy the new kit - adds a new dimension to an already great package.

One question though, Brian, where did you route the new tubing for the Crankcase Ventilation over to your front sprocket. I'm getting some interference with the Throttle Body linkage. I'm waiting for her to cool back down now to re-route the pipe. I thought I saw in an earlier post where Jorge sent you some pictures or instructions on how to route the pipe. I could sure use that info...

I just got back from a quick 30 miles....and I LOVE the induction sound, not to mention the nice kick. The PC3 is making the injection soooo smooth, it is deceiving...can't wait to hit the dyno...

Just off to bed when I caught sight of this - I think I did post a picture showing the routing for the hose pipe - if you need more pictures then please let me know and I will take some more detailed shots.

Brian,

I read in another post how you said to route the tube between the two cylinders, then to the front sprocket, but I couldn't find a pic. Question; did you remove the stock tube first and tighten the new tube directly to the mount on the crankcase, or did you attach it the the end of the stock breather tube where it once mounted to the old airbox?

By the way, Jorge's kit now comes with the right nut for the Air temp sensor (but it came loose on me also), and the new crankcase breather tube is black, with a yellow stripe I also received another tube about 12 cm long, 8 mm in diameter, with a bolt solid in one end of that tube. For the life of me, I have no idea what that is for....

Also this was a perfect time to do the PAIR mod since there was no place to attach the tube. A 12mm stainless bolt fit the tube nicely....no more lean backfires on deceleration...

Jim,

The hose should fit inside the old crankcase breather pipe. Might be a tight fit but it does go in!

The other tube I suspect is for the PAIR system although its still a moot point as to what to do with the PAIR. Personally I've left it open so that the ECU doesn't think everything is too rich and try to lean things out even more! I get some wicked throttle-off backfires though!

Dave

Dave and Brian,

The new breather tube does fit into the stock tube, and rather tight. I managed to route it between the two cylinders and to just behind the front sprocket cover, over the chain. There is a tight bend, almost a 180 just at the junction between the tubes, so I doubt any oil will ever make it to the chain. No more interference with the throttle body linkage, either. I appreciate the info and the help from all. Now, it's time to go have fun...

Did your have a cylinder breather tube? Mine did under that foam next to the crankcase breather tube. Where did you route your cylinder breather tube?

Regarding the breather, there is an awfull lot of pressure and oil mist there to just vent it off near the front sprocket. I would imagine that the original design in the airbox ,with the foam/mesh filter would reduce/restrict airflow to some extent, and would catch any oil mist, which would eventually run back into the engine. Im looking at some options ,but anyone got any ideas ?
Oh, and im running the economy version of the filter mod, total cost £20, using just the Pipercross filters...and yes they do sound awsome..
