Newbie

Hi all,

Just taken delivery of an 05 SV1000S in silver.

Spent the day tinkering and setting up the controls, need to adjust / remove the Gilles variobars as they don't suit me.

Upgraded from a 600 Thundercat, previously had an SV650K5 and several GSX750SE3 Katana's

Can't wait to get out and hit the road

Were '05s available with silver frames overseas? Here in the U.S., '05's and up had black powdercoated frames. Regardless, that's a good looking bike!

Just because a cow is born in a stable doesn't make it a horse.
See how you go buying certain parts for an 05 bike made in 04. I bought my 03 model in 05 but according to vin plate it will always be an 03.

Guy i used to know, he had a silver 03....t-boned a car that pulled across his path in late 06...early 07 (memory issues)....
Cracked a wobbly when his insurance (bloody exxy insurance) wanted to source an 06 model bike...

He told them that if he could track down an 03, would they pay for it, and they said yes....

He rang around and must have gave someone a big enough case of the shits and they found one sitting in its crate at Peter Stevens....

He didnt like the lower seat, bent subframe, lower pegs.....

That one h4rri has got has definetly got the bent subframe.... looks for all the world like an 03 though huh....

Doesn't have the full "Suzuki" on the tank of the 03. only the S, but may have had the replacement tank under the warranty recall.
