Battery not charging!!!!

My 2003 sv1000s is doing my head in, battery kept going flat, it would last 3-4 days and then be too flat to start it.
The battery holds a charge, if I charge it via a battery charger and don’t use the bike, it stays charged.
Checked with a volt meter, only getting 12.2v while it’s running. Changed the rectifier and still the same, so I drained the oil and checked the stator, burnt winding on the stator, so I had it rewound, back in the bike and I had 14.2v, thought yay! It’s fixed....
Eight days later, I’m broken down on the side of the road with a flat battery, get recovery home and checked the bike over, I’m back to 12.2v only this time the wiring plug between loom and rectifier has melted, and has melted wires on the stator.
Got my stator back from its second rewinding, put it on the bike, only get 15v ac at tickover rising to 50v ac @ 5000rpm, same on all phases, tested the rectifier for both forward and reverse bias and that checks ok, plug the two together and I’m still getting 12.2v which does rise to 12.8v when revved up, but the wires start getting hot.
I think the output voltage from the stator is too low, I’ve tried 3 rectifiers, 3 batteries and had the stator rewound twice, I just want to get the bike fixed properly so I can sell it, I’ve had enough of it now.

How do your stator magnets look?

Is there a short to the frame somewhere ?
