2008 Road America on my 2008 R1

I'm a former SV1000S owner and rode that at Road America as well. With the same tires on both bikes, the R1 is around 10 seconds faster per lap there, but the SV was alot of fun; for me it had a great balance for its power and was very forgiving. The R1 on the other hand isn't as forgiving due to the extra speed. Great brakes though!

Here is a quick video I put together from two track days this year at Road America this year. Saw near 180mph on the main straight; could hit it but I have to figure out how to deal with a 4th gear 130mph wheelie over the hill which tends to be interesting when the wheel comes back down under power; good thing for the steering dampener.

My bike is fine and I will fix it up before summer. By buddies 2007 R1 was totalled but he was uninjured.

Hope you enjoy!

Good video

I've been to Road America to view two AMA superbike races so far. It looks like your buddy went off in turn 12. I've see a few bikes pinwheel in the gravel trap there.

Hope your bike's okay. I liked the "thanks for letting me borrow your leathers" tag at the end.
