2005 SV1000 Arrow Cans - Swap For Standard

I have just purchased a bike with aftermarket Arrow cans that I would like to swap (plus 100 my way) for standard cans that are in excellent condition.

I’m located in Taunton, Somerset

Welcome to the site......

May i ask why ? Noise an issue ?
They look pretty trick......not seen Arrows on a dual setup before, didn't know they ever did the 4 bolt flange setup... can you maybe provide a pic of
the bolt-up ?

I slotted an Arrow on a Yoshi 2 into 1 system.

Yeah, i would like to see the join....it has definetly had the 4 bolt flange removed and made into a slip-on arrangement....
I had thought of getting a standard set of collectors again and doing just that......looks a lot cleaner
I reckon this bike looks pretty nice like that...

I sm sorry to say to Iangiles83, but to go back to standard you will need the collectors for that year bike as well as the cans...
That might make it a more attractive swap for someone anyway.....

I recommend you pick up a pair of used stock exhausts on eBay if you are needing something quiet to get the bike inspected and licensed. And once you hear how the stock exhausts strangle the beautiful sound of the SV1000, you'll put those Arrows back on it.
edit: Yeah, just noticed what previous posters said about the 4 bolt flange being eliminated. Stock exhausts won't work with those exhaust pipes.

If you need to quiten them down, Arrow do have removeable baffles that can be inserted that are held in with a circlip.....
I can't see that the baffles are in there at this point......

If you can measure the inside diameter of the outlet of the can, i think i can tell you what part number you need...the cans could be off anything
My single set-up is off an 1100 Monster and it is 50mm outlet.....

The DB killer for that size is 5930159 and the circlip is a 50mm internal fit circlip

68mm DB killer is 11012DB circlip 68mm internal
58mm is 5930192 circlip 58mm internal.....

I am guessing yours will be 50mm, but there are other sizes that i cant remember off the top of my head.....i think 48mm is the next size down, cant remember the DB number
