High mileage on your SV..how many ?

Okay, we want to see who has the most miles on his or her SV.

Now it gets complicated when you got yours second hand with lots on already or you've had more then one SV.

so how about first , whos got the highest mileage on their speedo regardless of who put them on.

i'm easy as i've owned mine from new, an 03 so ten years now and have 49,000 on the clock.

i've also had 6 other bikes while i've owned the SV and probably put about 5000 on them collectively.

Mine is nearing 54,000 MILES. I've had a yellowbox on it for the last 7 or 8 years so some of that is 10% lower. I would guess it's around 58,000 or so now. Now that I've got the FJR1300, I'll be splitting the miles during the riding season between the two bikes.

05' SV1000S has 22,000 miles, 7,000 are mine.

06' SV1000 project bike has around 40,000 miles, not a single of mine, I just pushed it 30 feet into the garage, where she has sat since Dec '12

I have 63170 actual miles on my street bike. The bike indicates less due to speedo healer so this number is calculated back. I got this particular bike at an auction with 2240 miles on the clock.

Read this for a 200K mile DL1000

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=323749

At 100K

Quote:
27 oil changes - Castrol Syntec 10x40 (full synthetic)
14 oil filter changes - Fram PH6018
6 front brake pad changes. EBCHH. you must be able to stop !!
2 rear brake pad changes. stock suzuki pads. I dont use the rear brakes much.
5 chains
1 sprocket set at 61,120 miles
5 front tires
8 rear tires
3 valve clearance checks. no adjustments have been made. all within spec.
3 spark plug changes
3 coolant drain & refill
0 leaks !!!

There has only been TWO part failures in all of these miles!! The rear exhaust/header gasket at 66,217 miles and the front brake stop switch at 100,000 miles. These two items total replacement is under $20. And I still have 11 months left on my extended warranty !!
At 120K

Quote:
The stock battery that came with the K3 finally died @ 110,529 miles

Imagine that, in 120,000 miles only (so far) one broke part/failure for a total of $4.00.

Other maintenance performed from 100K to 120K:
6 oil changes/3 filter changes - Castrol 10X40 syntec/Fram filters
plug change @100,584
sprockets/chain @ 102,201
replaced front wheel bearings @ 105,519. One looked good, one needed replacement
rear brake pads EBC @ 110,356
front brake pads EBCHH @ 111,342
At 150K

Quote:
Now it is time for my 150,000 mile writeup (Sept 2009). Once again there have been NO mechnicals and NO parts had to be purchased except those that I consider as 'routine maintenance'.

In the last 30,000 miles: (since the last writeup)

-a new chain at 124,436 mi.
-EBCHH front brake pads at 130,067mi (lasted 18725 mi)
-adjusted vales at 133,021 miles. 5 were a little tight. previous adjustment was at 66,804 mi. (all were within spec)
-replaced rear wheel/sprocket bearings at 135,736. first replacement.
-EBCHH front brake pads at 143,668 mi
-replaced fuel filter at 143,408 miles. first replacement. At this time I purchased a new fuel pump that I will use on my extended range tank. The original pump is still good.
-replaced battery at 147,336 miles. second replacement
-replaced chain/sprockets at 150,001 mi. previous chain lasted 25,000 mi and previous sprockets lasted 48,000 miles
-8 oil changes and 4 oil filter changes. all Castrol 10x40 syntech w/ Fram filters
That's the last I could find, well, then there is a picture that shows the DL1000 odometer stops counting at 199999 miles, it just stops there...

I wonder if the SV1000 odometer is the same?
