Full faring

May have put this in the wrong section initially. Where has anyone got a full faring and especially the brackets and hardware? Thanks.

Found a lower fairing kit for a few colors of the SV1000 here in the states on the Oneida Suzuki site. The site says U.S. shipping only but if you really wanted them, they may be able to set up something overseas. The site is showing availability for 2003 copper, 2006 gray, and 2007 blue. But that price!

They are in Germany, but much less expensive than Oneida. Germany has laws that require them to maintain parts availability much longer than the USA, so many parts are still available there.

Great ideas! Thanks, where did anyone get the brackets with the large round pieces on the end that match up with those big holes in the fairing sides?

Those were supplied in the hardware mounting kits for the accessory side fairings.

Yeah, you might have to get some brackets made to suit the job unfortunately.....

Wont be real hard, just trial and error...
Using stiff cardboard and tape to find the shape and basic design you need, and the transfering it to metal is the way to go.....
Might take two attempts, but, you will learn heaps, and the satisfaction at the end is awesome...

I might no' be a smart man Jenny....but i can pain' ma copper colored bike a dif'ren color.....

I'm torn on the full fairing idea. Does anyone like it better than the half-faired stock "S" version? I assume it's primarily aesthetic, maybe mildly beneficial for mpg?

My opinion, I do not like it as well as half faired with the chin piece.

Agreed. That and the more plastic you have on, the more plastic you have to take off in order to do maintenance. But I'm generally lazy so it may not be as big of a deal to others.

Ok, so I'm not alone...ha ha!

I think it looks pretty unique either way. I wouldn't shy anyone away from the full fairing. Just looks so dang sexy wearing the regular plastic bikini!
