Red face New Guy handle bar mods.

Hi, I'm new here and looking for some more info about modding my handle bars. I spent many years on a 97 TL1000S and moved on to the inline 4 cylinder bikes and never found a bike that I had as much fun on as the TL. Now I'm over 40 and just picked up a 2007 SV1000s. I love the bike and the old familiar engine but the riding position doesn't work for me anymore. I see that the Spiegler seems to be the best but like most I'm not ready to spent $500 on this. Ive also seen the $6.98 mod and not sure about that. Are there more mods out there that people like? I also think I'm going to want to change the rear set (peg) position. Any help is appreciated. By the way, Ive been on a soft tail night train for 5 years, pile that on top of being 41 and that explains the need to mod the bike for comfort, lol.

i bought an upper triple clamp out of england, will have to search my receipts as is was about 5 yrs ago. high quality, never any issues. after getting longer brake and clutch lines and new handlebars , i had about $500 in the whole set up. love em. rode 1100 miles in 3 days all back roads last year w no discomfort.
im 58 yrs old have owned 24 motorcycles the bulk being sportbikes since the honda interceptor came out in 1983.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...02accbac39.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5fb8664710.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5f3d173f49.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...65642cb804.jpg

Would you recommend following the same path or using the Spiegler set up? What brand solo seat cowl is that? I know this is an elementary question but what kind of under tail do you have? The bike I just purchased had a fairly clean looking under tail but no tag mount. The tag mount that was installed looked like and 18 your old designed it.... Sorry for all the questions, just got this bike, lol

You can still get the seat cowls. Best price I have found was from https://www.kfm-motorraeder.de/cms/en. They ship Flt rate for 55 euros to the USA. I got mine in space blue metallic in April from them. German law requires OEM stuff to be available longer than US law. Oneida Suzuki in the USA can get them too, but much more expensive.

falconbob is probably trying to remember of this place:

topyokes.uk

Nice workmanship and good price, but a loooong wait for delivery.

CNC'd top triple, handlebar clamps and braided brake lines were around $250 shipped.

I think your right Masta. Im driving myself crazy trying to figure out which brand to go with. Anyone tried the ABM kits? For that matter anyone tried the Speigler kits and have anything to say about them?
