new battery

Greetings SV Riders,

Well, after 12 years i decided to replace the battery on my 2007 SV 1000s ! the battery did not die on me, just felt it was time to replace the battery as it was not pushing out 14.4 volts under load.
I cant believe THE DIFFERENCE A NEW BATTERY MAKES!the bike seems to pull much harder/quicker through the rev range and now she starts with one touch of the starter button. I have kept the old battery as a back up but what an incredible difference a new battery makes!!

Not pushing 14.4 under load ? IF it was "under load" and still giving 14.4 i would be thinking it was a 16 volts battery, or a truck battery... LOL

14.4 is the rate that it charges at, if all is well.....if you aren't getting that, then its mroe likely o be your charging system.....

YEs, the new battery will help, but, if your charging is a tiny bit below par, that wont last....
