seat bolt size

I have an sv1000n. Can anyone tell me what size bolts are used to mount the seat?

It's a special shoulder bolt. Just get them from a dealer or order online if you need them.

On mine its a broad headed allen bolt with thread all the way... 6 x 18mm 09106-06064 is the part number for the attached pic

Yep, that's the bolt that attaches the seat. The shoulder bolt is for the plastic filler panel.

Oops, you're right. It's just got a big head. I knew it wasn't standard and got a bit confused in my old age. Must have been thinking about the fills and the frame cover bolts.

That's okay Rick. Even old people like us can work on our SVs and find a bolt that fits pretty much anywhere.
