It was gratifying to see 20 bikes turn up, 2 with passengers, for our Autumn rideout. That number meant that for safety's sake we split into two groups. The weather was a bit iffy in the morning, calling for a bit (but not too much) caution with the throttle hand. The afternoon was much better and we were able to return to more normal rate of progress.
This is really a most remarkable event in that people travel hundreds of miles just to ride our 150 miles of lanes, moorland roads and highways. This year we had riders from East Anglia, London, Plymouth and the Home Counties plus the usual local contingent. Nice to see you, people, and to renew old acquaintances.
The collection raised £85.40 for for the Jerimiah's Journey charity in memory of our good friend Warren "Skidz" Marks. Thanks, guys, an excellent result. Receipt attached.
See you next April?
