Well I have been lucky enough to get a spot with a group of guys heading to Cartagena in Spain for two days track riding next Monday and Tuesday.
So yesterday I packed up the SV onto a stillage, piled in the rest of my gear (leathers, lid, tools, etc.) and wrapped the whole thing in plastic.
I fly out to the southeast of Spain on Sunday morning, find our accommodation, and unpack and setup the bike for the track. After two days (rubber side down only) fun on the track I fly home on Wednesday with the SV following me home a couple of days later.
I've only ever ridden on two tracks - Mondello here in Ireland (which is so-so) and Anglesey in Wales which was fantastic. Hopefully Cartagena will also be mindblowing. Most of the others were loading up track specific bikes or sports exotica like 1098's and GXSRs. Will be interesting to see how my old girl (and me!) measure up to such top end metal.
I'll post up a few updates during the trip hopefully and do a decent report once the trip is done. Top priority for me is to leave as much Spanish tarmac in Spain and come home with an intact bike and rider at the end of it all! Wish me luck!
Might even have a few Spanish beers along the way...!
