Hey Mick..... i am looking at a 04 thou..... and relaising i cant use my old gixxer shock because of the battery box, which is the best drop in ?
    06 ZX10R?
Would prefer something where the reservoir points out the same way as the SV just to keep it away from the header..., the ZX points the other way....

    Hey there Mike...

Just spitballing here, but, where is the site admin based ? Canada ?

The Iphone idiot seems to be Canadian, going by the price marker being CAD....

Is it at all possible that they are tied up, or, at least getting paid for these thread/topic/ads to appear ?

I cant see that it takes this long to respond to our tagging the post as a problem....and i have emailed them directly too.....

    Cheers, Craig

Front TB is more complex when it comes to the shaft, springs, everything that is mounted on the left. Is there anything special that I should take in consideration when taking this apart. Also I have noticed that the screws for the STVs are the same thread and length like the ones on the primary plates, but with a different head with a flat flange and blue thread lock on them instead of the stamped/clipped locking method like on the primary plates. I took this out without damaging them at all, like I damaged the main plates screws. Can I reuse them on the primary plates instead of the old damaged ones? Also the STV shafts are cut just like I mentioned Iwould like to do on the main shafts, meaning the part without threads is cut out of the secondary shafts like you have done....a few people said that it may not be ok: "I wouldn't do it because the plate is sandwitched between threaded and non threaded part.Non threaded part provides good backing and stability."

Hi Schmidt. I have been doing the TB mods similar to what you have done, on a set of SV650 TBs on my street bike. Basically, your post inspired me to do it, after I was thinking of something similar but didn't have info that you post have and helped me with a lot. A have taken off all of the unnecessary things on the bike and I am kind of OCD with clutter and extra metal and stuff like that... sounds familiar :))))? Would you please help me with a few questions please?
I don't have your email so I hope you read this.

So i completly took apart the rear cilynder TB and took of any excess metal, put some JBweld equivelent in the holes from the STV shaft, hand finished everything etc with dremel, files and sandpaper up to 1200 on the exterior and 3000+polish on interrior.

    Hi Mike,

On my 07 , 1000s with 18,000 km I am checking the green connector
So far I have removed it from the mounting tab, however I can't see / figure
where the release is to separate the connector.
As you know there is not much room in this area to see into.
And I am working in an unheated dim garage, with snow blowing outside( grim)

Really appreciate your informative , well reasoned posts. You have a wealth
    of knowledge.

    Regards,
    Glen

    Hey MS!

As you might noticed, I am thinking about the PC V and auto-tune for my SV. I already checked the availability of these on local/europian market, but found out every shop is quite expensive, given to import taxes.

As you mentioned in another thread, that you travel to Brno time to time...how often are you actually coming? And would you be able to buy and bring one PC V and auto-tune from USA with you? I would pay you in advance ofc and/or we would agree on other details as well.

    Thanks,

    Vasek (Hasha)
