the-atc-kid Yeah, thanks for the eBay link, but I really want an NOS one. I've bought a bunch of stuff from Ivan's in the past and have had some good conversations with him, but I hear he is a very busy guy and gets annoyed if you're just calling to pick his brain and not make a purchase (not sure if this is true). Since the TRE is NLA, I'd only be calling for an archived part#. As long as I have that, I can always find it eventually. Hmmm....

Missing Link I wonder if the "SV" one was just the same as another bike, like the Gixxers..... It wouldn't surprise me.
Branding an item as specific is a great way to demand a premium on the price, exclusivity and all that....

I have one and looked all over it (pic below) but surprisingly, there are no product numbers on it. There are none listed for the SV1000 on Ivan's website either.

Here is one for a 2003 SV1000S on eBay.

Missing Link No worries...
My mates home made one has only ever altered the idle by about 100rpm so i have never been worried about it....
But, as it has done at least 240000kms, it is probably clever to get a spare.... LOL

EDIT: Found it..... Thanks mate... I owe you some fush and chups....

spiderman Look up AutoStar TRE on Ebay. Its a smart TRE which means its not suppose to effect the idle...

twag4 If you don’t want todo it yourself, go to Etsy and get Steve’s TRE for sv1000s.

Missing Link I think it was....
I just looked on eup locally and i am absolutely F&^*[email protected] stunned at how much they are asking.....
After picking myself up off the floor.....a mate of mine made me one back in 2004, and i gave him
$25 and he said that he made a profit at that....

(oh....$324 is the price a local performance shop sells them for here)
