Would the gas tank be available? I bought my SV last year and love it, but it seems a Previous Owner had opened the gas cap with a hammer and screwdriver, it leaks and is not easily fixable.

Yeah that left (right side of pic) fork looks like its a little curvey.

Dadmun, when you ge tthe chance, unless visually they are abviously bent, just loosen the top and bottom triples, with the wheel and gaurd out, and spin the chrome tubes in the trees.
if the are bent at all, the bottom of the fork will wander around like an old moll at a christianing.....

Thanks. I already took the forks off the bike completely and checked them. The left fork is every so slightly bent. I used an L-square held up to it and found it about 1mm out of true. What I did was remount the top tube with the almost imperceptible bend perpendicular to the length of the bike and that straightened it up with respect to the clip ons. It's not a 100% perfect solution but it's close enough for a 19 year old bike. The forks stroke up and down just fine.

Did the same on old VTR of mine.....was like it when i got it... over time it got better... ha ha

if still available id be interested in the helibars. do they need the throttle cables and brake lines extended? and do the pannier mounts clear stock exhausts?
