Greetings from Finland

I've had red SV 1000N K4 since July -17.

Naked SV 1000 was never officially imported in Finland, so all our N models are privately imported. My SV was bought from UK, Cresent Suzuki Center, I guess VerWood?
Bike has been in Finland since 2010-2011, i guess.

Best bike I've had so far.

Hello everybody! Seems like i introduced myself on the wrong place. Well, here's my second post, and this time on the proper place.
I'm Erwin, 46 years young, father of two boys and enjoying my midlifecrisis to the fullest!
;)
After an ER-5 and a Bandit 1200 as a renovation project i got myself an SV1000 since I wanted one for quite some time.
I hope to find all the info, tips and tricks for maintaining and personalizing my lady...

Hi!

New member from Norway here.
Have had my SV1000S for a couple of months now, and I am loving it so far. I have had bikes like z750, Fz1n, mt07 and a VZ800 earlier, but the SV is much more fun to drive. However, I will be making changes to it after this season, as i prefer a more upright riding position.

My bike has been acting up lately, so I thought this would be the right place to seek help.
Anyways - happy to be here, and I'm looking forward to be reading up on the infamous SV :)

Welcome gruei

There are a couple of gremlins that these bikes have, which, mainly aren't expensive to fix, more just fiddly, but satisfying to correct...

Let us all know what you are going through, and we will help you work through it.....

Hi everyone, im here on behalf of my brother, he has a k7 sv, im ex mechanic, so have been servicing it, and made a few improvements such as full upgraded fork internals, nitron r2 rear shock, decent brake pads, slight gearing adjustment, airbox mods, k&n air filter, made a custom 2-1 full header & utilized one of the yoshi carbon cannister mufflers, full woolich ecu flash and dyno tuned, its putting 121hp to the wheel now, but planning full engine upgrade shortly, found plenty of interesting posts on improvements, so will incorporate a few, ĺike resetting camshaft lobe centers, +2mm je pistons, carrillo rods, crank rebalance, jb weld rotor magnets, werks clutch basket, dl center hub, undecided about slipper clutch yet, but i will be porting the cyl head and recutting valve seats, setting squish clearences up properly, good having winter months to get stuck into it...

Cheers Missing link! I'm from Perth In W.A you ?? Yes the suspension was dangerous Didn't have much time over the weekend mainly tightening things and replacing all the fluids bar the radiator time issue. I also did a quick sag setting and played with the clickers, the rear spring I think I'll get away with I'll just service it and tickle the shims a bit. The forks are just to soft I'm ordering a set of 0.95's today and will revalve when I fit them. Then just the usual service work and few bits buggered up by the previous owner.
