I know this has been covered in other threads , but the info is scattered across the four corners of the site. I thought a quick compilation of differences would be nice.

In summary :

03/04 Models

-Heavier flywheel/rotor
-Rebuildable forks
-32-Bit ECM, uses 1 Intake Air Pressure sensor and a Cam sensor
-Compression ratio of 11.3:1
-52mm Throttle Bodies
-03/04S models wet weight 485lbs (04 may be very slightly less due to aluminum sub frame)

03 Naked
-03 Naked model wet weight 476lbs
-03 Naked model has tubular handlebars and more upright seating position
-03 Naked has 110 link chain and 56.9" wheelbase
-03 Naked has different fork triple trees
-03 Naked has lower footpegs/mounts than S (faired) models
-03 Naked has Brake & Clutch Master cylinders & lines unique to that year/model

03S
-03S has a steel subframe that is taller and at a more radical angle
(all other years/models are aluminum and at the same angle)
-03S tank is also unique to that year/model
-03S Exhaust systems are also unique to that year/model
-03S chainguard and aftermarket hugger are also unique to that year/model
-03S rear brake MC mount/hose is also unique to that year/model
-03S "drivers" seat is also unique to that year/model
-03S shock doesn't have heat shield and is unique to that year/model
-03S kickstand/lever style (coathanger) unique to that year/model
-03S Side panels unique to that year/model
-03S doesn't have toolbox under battery
-03S has different passenger peg brackets
-03S has 108 link chain and 56.3" wheelbase
-03S has gear change lever unique to it

05-07 Models

-Lighter flywheel/rotor (about 3lbs of rotating mass removed from the end of the crankshaft , allows the engine to react quicker)
-Non-rebuildable forks
-32-Bit ECM that uses 2 Intake Air Pressure sensors and no cam sensors. Uses a different wiring harness than 03/04 bikes.
-Compression ratio of 11.6:1
-54mm Throttle Bodies
-Different exhaust cams with more duration (more top end power)
-Intake and Exhaust cams have different timing than 03/04 models
-Shorter intake snorkel
-Black frame and swingarm
-S models wet weight 479lbs
-Different fuel pumps than 03/04
-110 link chain and 56.9" wheelbase
-07 Model has white Tach face/background

If anyone can think of any other differences I'll amend my original post to accommodate the corrections. I thought this would be a quick and easy reference for differences between the years.

Brake & clutch MCs & lines are unique on the K3 N as well. The K3S also has a different kickstand coathanger configuration.

More as it comes to mind.

You listed the K3N as having a longer wheelbase due to a longer swingarm, when actually it's the S swingarm being shorter that's the difference. The K3N uses the same swingarm as all K4+ models.

Isn't the K3-4 ECU a 16 bit? Then updated to 32 bit for K5+ with the addition of the second pressure sensor and deletion of the rear cam sensor? Was under the impression that was how it was anyhow.

And, the K7+ uses the 650 white tach face with chrome needle hub.

Nope. All years are 32-bit.
