Hello. I´m all new inhere :) Ill post my experience with V2 bikes and my dynoruns on them :) I can see I only can make 5 attachments! I got many dynoruns, so Ill smake replies to attach them all! (hope that will work)
Hope U all will enjoy the post :)


All the following dynographs is made on the same dynograph 250i with the same proff dynomapper known as the magician from Europe www.dot-e.dk (Mr. Dyno)
So they are all comparable because its the same dyno and same mapper that have done the bikes. The dyno is low compared to other dynoes i´ve tried. Fx does this Dyno meassure my hard tunet (4000DOllars tuning) Mille R to 122Bhp, another Dyno I´ve tried did meassure the same Mille R to 134Bhp

I´ve learned (and paid) alot trough this tuning progress. So I hope u all can use it :)

I have got 2 setups on my TL1000s, here are the dynorun from both

Red line is my TLS 1997 with
- full akrapovic
- airbox mod with lid off
- KN filter
- TLR bellmouths 1,5cm
- Pair system removed
- IN cams from a TLR EXcam is old TLS IN repressed (Thx to Bernhard!!)
- 01 TLS engine (heads are different than 97 engine)

Blue line is my TLS 1997 with
- full akrapovic
- airbox mod
- KN filter
- TLR bellmouths 2,5cm
- standard cams and standard 1997 engine

the full yoshi gives more power in the whole area compared to Akrapovic slipons. Ill continue posting dynoruns in repli post!

all made at a proff engineering comapany. Costet like 4000$ without the complete akrapovic exhaust system

The next dynographs is from another dyno. Its a facory e-997. So theese runs cannot be compared with the runs from the Dynojet250i runs above!

Wow!:shocking: That's one of the most comprehensive V-twin dyno comparos I've ever seen. Welcome to the site and thanks for posting this data.

The 996 cc Suzuki motor continues to impress me with the amount of power it makes in the TL series. Hopefully Suzuki will breath life into this motor again for future V-twin sportbike applications. :yes:

hehe. Just spend alot of time making this post so U guys could share my experience :) :)

Actually you can get a quantitative answer to that, at least for how many times the thread was opened by different members. That number is shown on the contents page for the section. If we assume only one person views the thread when its opened then as of this post 187 folks seen your dyno results.

Ill try and edit my post later with the graph but heres my results for my 2003 TL1000R
Before tune with full m4 exhaust, air box mod, k and n air filter and yoshi map
113.85hp @ 9,000rpm
69.39ftlbs @ 7,400rpm

With custom map from dynojet dyno
124.19hp @ 9,100rpm
75.60ftlbs @7,100rpm
I was suprised at the gain just from a custom tune, but what i realy like is the 60+ftlbs of torque at only 3,000rpms.
I havent had my sv dynoed yet but it doesnt pull nearly as hard on the top end as the TLR.

this is a very useful thread, thank you.
Its crazy how the modern liter bike make power and torque just as early as the v-twin, and after that there's monster top end power delivery.

I imagine that getting TL-type power out of an SV motor is a matter of ported cylinder heads (to get the port volume back to or more than the TL heads) and some big Spears cams + some compression. It certainly shouldn't be impossible TL voodoo or black magic, just really expensive undertaking to undo Suzuki's de-tuning/streetbike configuration. My mainly un-educated guess is that the handling potential of the SV is better than that of the TL (better frame, conventional rear-shock possibilities, lighter bike, etc...)

Either way, fascinating thread and nice dyno plots!

The 4mm smaller intake valves are probably the biggest power killer Suzuki ever did. Take a look at the new Ducati 1098r, takes big valves to make the kind of power it makes. (loads of Ti also)
