Hi All,

I have been finalising details for the hotel accommodation with regards to this trip.

The chosen hotel is the White House Hotel in Muxton, Telford, I spoke to them on the phone today and they are willing to do a discount of £60 per room per night, which includes breakfast (usual price is £79.50), this applies to all sizes of rooms, double, twins and singles.

They will need to start taking bookings as soon as possible as they have already started taking bookings for July. All they need at the moment is a £10 deposit per room to hold the room. They also suggested it would be easier for everyone to contact them directly to book, the booking reference is “SV Forum Meeting”.

There is another hotel with is just up the road, a Premier Inn, the rooms here are only £53 per night but this doesn’t include breakfast. They were also unable to offer any sort of discount as they do not take bulk bookings.

If you would like to come on this trip and would like a room, please PM me. Below is a list of the “Yes’s” I have already received, I will update the list as more people join:

Osamabigveetwin +1 - Fri/Sat/Sun – Standard Double - Booked
Andy W – Fri/Sat/Sun – Standard Double - Booked
Dave Hobbs – Fri/Sat/Sun - Single - Booked
Russells Ride +1 - Fri/Sat - Standard Double - Booked
Pete59 +1 – Fri/Sat/Sun – Standard Double - Booked

Rideout Details...

Saturday (still yet to test however here is what I propose):
Start off from the hotel, head over to Much Wenlock, Chruch Stretton, over the top of the Long Mynd, scenic route over to Newtown, then down to Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells, Knighton, Ludlow, Kidderminster, Bridgenorth, Ironbridge back to the hotel.

There will be a photo opertunity break at the top of the Long Mynd. Fuel there is definitley one just before Llandrindod Wells. Food (lunch) will more than likely be Builth Wells. Another comfort break will be a bikers cafe just out side Bridgenorth, there is also another fuel station here. Then the last stop (before the hotel) will be Ironbridge.

Sunday:
Start off from the hotel, head over to Newport, Crudgington, Hodnet, Marchamley, Prees Heath (there is a big bikers cafe here not not sure if its too soon for a stop...), Whitchurch, Eglwys Cross, Ruabon, Trevor, Llangollen, up the Horseshoe Pass and stop at the Ponderosa, then head over to Ruthin, Denbigh where there is a bike shop and cafe to eat at, from here we head up to Trefant, St Asaph, Llanfair Talhaiarn, Llanwrst, Betws-y-coed where we will have another break (we'll also get fuel from here too), Pont-y-pant, Ffestiniog, scenic route over to Bala, scenic route over to Welshpool, Ford (stop at another good bikers cafe), Shrewsbury, back to the hotel.

Before both ride outs it would be a good idea for everyone to fill up before we start, there is a Shell fuel station just up the road from the hotel.

I'm thinking if we start from the hotel at 9am we should be back within a reasonable time so we're not rushing around etc before the evening entertainment :)

I have attached the routes below however I'll probabley print them off and laminate them for you all for those who don't have sat nav's.

I have also done the route through my TomTom and have saved the itinery off for those wishing to download it, I'm not able to attach it here but can email it to those who need it :)

Friday night I'm booking us into an all you can eat Cantonese which is walking distance from the Hotel. The name of the place is called Tin Tin's and I found this link with a couple of details on the place http://www.qualityfoodonline.com/rest_pics.php?id=23618.

Saturday night I was either thinking of eating on the hotel or there is another restaurant opposite Tin Tin's called The Clock Tower.

Phoned the hotel (01952 603603, http://www.whitehouse-hotel.org.uk/ )
I queried what bookings have been made, she said none. I have booked mine. No charge, just gave them a card number

Ah right, yeh that's not far :)

In the evenings I'm organising places to eat anyway as part of the trip, so I'll add you to the list :)

Hi all

After booking our room,my boss now says I cant have the time off.Git.
I was hoping to show off my handy work to you,as I have triked my SV!!!

My right leg has got a lot worse over this last year,to the point where I was worried about dropping the bike.

Give up riding? Never!!!

Oh bugger matey...

I know what you mean about never giving up, I'd do the same :)

My dad was close to getting a Bandit triked for my mum, but she didn't like the riding position...

Bandit

I might be on the SV after all. I took the Bandit out for a test ride loved the bike but just couldn't let my baby go. If I could afford to run both bikes that would be the answer.
