Have to admit that creating poll options is hard.
Never came into my mind that somebody
  • could have more than one SV
  • Might convert S to N or vice versa

Even though naked models are hard to find here, I chose N because
  • Driving position suits better for me
  • Like the naked look better
  • Not so likely to drive "illegal speeds" by mistake

I bought my N first, partly because it was just a regular motorcycle, and because it wouldn't cost me a small fortune in broken plastic if it fell over in the driveway.

Like Longhair, I also have both. And like Hondaman, I had my 2005 SV1000S converted to a naked. More details on both of my SV1Ks are in my showcase.

One of these days if I stumble across a 2003 Blue naked SV100, I'll snap it up! (y)

I have a 2003 Naked that I got new. I got the Naked because it has regular handlebars, which allowed me to easily put on risers and higher bars for much more comfort. I've been riding for over 50 years, and I prefer the wind in my face and being able to see the engine to admire it when parked.

Original owner of N version. It now has ~53,000 miles. I like the look of both bikes but hate the look of scuffed plastic from tip-overs or worse. I also like that it's so much easier to change the bars and wind protection of the naked.
