I have added the lower fairings to my 05 SV1000S and I had the oil changed recently and the dealer stripped the fairing bolt that goes in to the radiator the bolt has since popped out and is god knows where. I need suggestions first on how to get a new fairing bolt and second what to do since the hole it goes in is stripped. Any help would very much appreciated.

Did you talk to the dealership about the fact they actually caused the problem? I would go there first. If they are no help feel free to send me a pm and I'll come down and take a look at it for you.

you need to re-thread the hole with a larger tap and find or make a bolt that both works and looks good.

You might try wrapping a fresh bolt with teflon tape, short of resorting to the old drill, re-tap one size larger routine.

Fill it with JB Weld and redrill and tap it

Take back to dealer and make them fix it...

Of course what else might they screw up while its there...

unless the bike blows up during the warranty they never see my bike again. not even for oil changes! all you have to do is prove you changed the oil so you just buy oil and filters at a different "authorized" dealer and keep the receipts.
