Nice sounding exhaust for SV1000 in 2024 - any recommendations?

As I peruse ebay and other websites I find very little for the SV1000. There are a few. Yoshimura still makes slip on exhaust, but they’re expensive, $800 approximately. There are a few brands on ebay. I just know nothing about them.

When I first bought my SV1000, I was set on keeping it as stock as possible. Now I’m changing my mind. I think I’m going to modernize her.

To get the best tone out of an exhaust it seems like it would follow the same principle as acoustics. Bigger muffler, bigger sound, (depending on dampening material, etc)

Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations or experience with/for muffler replacements that are available today, that are smaller than the stock ones, and have a decent growl, “note”?

Thanks. Sorry if this question has been asked a gazzilion times. I didn’t see anything recently.

I've had many different exhausts on my SV1Ks over the years. Art duals (now defunct), D&D duals (they did sound really good and were loud), two into one M4 (not loud but sounded good), debaffled stock exhaust (sounded surpringly good and the cost can't be beat - free, and by far my favorite, dual Two Brothers. I have carbon Two Bros on my '05 naked coverted S and dual titanium Two Bros on my '06 gray S. They are ear piercingly loud and deep. I love them to death. I have also heard in person Leo Vince, Yoshimura (both single and dual), dual Holeshot (very similar to D&D but not sure they are acailable anymore), and dual Microns (they were very close to Two Brothers but the are now defunct too). I know exhaust sounds are very subjective but that's my 2 cents.

Thank you very much for your input. Mine are partly debaffed. Well, the previous owner drilled holes in the baffles. I’m hoping to find a replacement slip on system before I can’t. There are some on ebay but I have no idea about the quality. Some company called Blue Flame from the UK keeps popping up, but I haven’t looked into them yet.

Hello Nightwatch,

The Yoshimura RS-3's Sound incredible, almost like a V-8 engine. I have them on my '03 SV-1000(n). Stainless and Oval. I get compliments on the sound and looks all the time. The are not slip ons, but secure with 4 bolts on each side. I HAVE AN EXTRA PAIR OF THESE in the factory box, with a few minor scratches. Here are 2 pics of my bike. Reply if you want to discuss. I'm NOT looking to get big $ for them.
Thanks!
Tom
