I have the RS3 Race, its deep, I haven't heard the Akraprovic one yet, but i love my RS3.

about siwtching them, I guess it will work as long as it use the removeble type hanger, but why would u want to make the brand name plate face intside of the bike?

#10 ·
The reason to put the name plates on the inside is to hide them from the cops. I plan to remove the name plates and rivet back the holes. by placing them inversed, fro a far distance theit looks like stock cans. The sound will be there for sure bu at least they can't pull me over when I am stopped.

Cops up here are hard with exhaust on bikes, I've gotten a ticket for my exhaust when my bike was parked. At the time I had a CBR900RR 98. Yeah big fuckin' dicks up here.

Thanks for the help I will probablt go for the RS3, I had it on my blade and it souded great.

cool, remember to post some pic later on.

Why Canadian police are so harsh about aftermarket exhaust?

I could do with a bit of advice or information regarding the sounds emanating from my bike. It is a second hand bike with about 800 miles on the clock and came with Carbon Can Co race cans already fitted (I also got the originals) and sounds awesome when opened out. The problem is when pootling round town at low revs when it splutters, backfires and generally sounds really rough. I have zero mechanical knowledge and never had a bike with race cans on before but don't think this is quite how it should sound. I suspect further work may be required but don't want to fork out more than i have to as due to buying it i am broke and the wife now wants to book a holiday. So any advice or information would be much appreciated.

G&G Bike bolt-ons

I have been offered a pair of G&G bike oval titanium bolt-ons, race version.

The price is quite a bit lower than any other brand availabe in DK (3500,-Dkr/ 466,-€/ 573$/ 315£), only I have never seen or heard about this particular brand...

did anybody see/hear, or actually even buy 'em ? reports are most welcome...

Call me an arsehole Bish but I think a set of Yoshi TRS or Tri Oval exhausts in a high mount, tucked in under the passenger pegs and juuussst hugging the duck tail would look the bees knees and you didn't cover that option ;) :headbang:

I'm due to get a SV1000s if my finance goes through by the end of August and I'd like to factor in a set of Yoshi TRS pipes with a high mount but I think I might need to get the high mount connector pipes customised as Yoshi doesn't carry that option. Either way I'll get the cans, if further mods are required...so be it :)~~~~

If anyone has done this could ya send me pics?

Cheerio!!!

Micron for the U.S. market!

Hey all,
I e-mailed Micron today and asked the following questions:
I also ordered a pair today! Hands down the best build quality I could find at a reasonable price! 670.00 U.S. dollars for two titanium out the door!

Just wondering how many different models of cans you make.
>I heard that the Betas are a good one but can't see anything on your website talking about different models. Only different colors. Are all your cans the same size and dimensions? I am wanting a deep rumble from my V-twin that won't make me wish they were louder. Some people on our SV forum state that we should buy Suzuki TLR slated cans from you for our SV because they don't have the DB minimizer in the end of the can. Is there any truth to this statement. What is my best option? Also wondering who you recommend to buy from.
>
>Thanks for your help,

Here's what they had to say!
There is no reducer in our SV, or TL-R cans, we think you are confusing
E.U. products with U.S. products. The SV uses straight thru, 2.25" cores...

Also, we offer the "beta" versions here, but as we do not offer any of
the EU quiet products, we do not confuse the situation here with Beta,
Zeta, Delta, etc.. All our products are the top of the line race designs...

Here is all our information, call us toll free at 1-888-963-1212 if you
have any questions...

Over the years a string of Championships ranging from the World
Championship at the 24 Hours of LeMans, to the National Championship
at the Formula USA title event at Daytona have secured many trophies
for Micron equipped Suzuki machines.

Add to this list from prior years the winning the Ulster GP Championship
with the Serpent equipped Honda Racing 929, the British Superbike
Championship (probably the hottest and most intense racing class in the
entire world today!) with the Serpent equipped Red Bull Ducati 996,
the (2) Championships and a 2nd place at the Macau GP with the Serpent
equipped CBR and Serpent equipped Ducati 996 and 998, we feel we
speak with great authority when we say that we make the finest products
for any machine, including your Suzuki!

So when you consider this extremely long list of World and National
Championships on machines as varied as Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki,
Kawasaki, Triumph and Ducati, Micron proves that when it comes
to leadership in design and performance, the brand of machine is not
as important as the R&D leadership of the company making the
performance. Our competitors are finding it very difficult to compete
not only with our huge lead in technology, but also with our extensive
range of designs, colors, materials and innovative construction, all of
which means that with Micron you have found the highest level of
performance, quality and style available anywhere in the world.

Are we the only ones who are saying this? Absolutely not! Ride
Magazine, one of the largest publications in the motorcycle industry,
found that in a shootout of exhaust products, Micron decimated the
competition! So dominating is the Micron product that the final verdict
was that "Micron wipes the floor with its rivals", a quote that just
about says it all! So it looks like we are what the world has said
already, the highest quality and highest performing products for any
machine, including your Suzuki!

We offer slip-ons for your vehicle in a multitude of colors and materials,
giving you more choices then anyone! Our twin polished aluminum ovals
for $699.95, twin titanium oval slip-ons at $749.95, the twin carbon fibre
ovals for $849.95 and the exclusive Micron twin chrome over stainless
ovals at $849.95. We do recommend that you stay with a twin muffler
arrangement, (we know there are "single" muffler versions sold by some
companies), as the sound level with a single canister can be quite
excessive
for a machine like this, and the tone more "sharp" then the beautiful, deep
sound that can be had from the twin muffler set-up.

Each of the slip-ons are available with our extensive line of color and
material options to individualize your machine, more then any other
company in the business. Slip-on anodized alloy colors sell at $839.95,
the trick multi-colored scorched titanium at $889.95 or the super light
kevlar/carbon fibre colors at $1,049.95. Please check our photo gallery
for the options, use "canisters" for Make and "all" for Model, to see our
current selection. You can also "float" around in the massive number
of photo's of different bikes with different color additions, to see
which one fits your needs best.

Best of all, the canisters use the highest quality stainless (yes, there
are
"cheap" grades of stainless that are not T-304), and are constructed with
twin polished stainless endcaps, a stainless steel interior tube, and again
even the band which wraps around the canister is polished stainless steel.
In addition there are no rivets on the Micron canister sleeves, beware of
these as you can rattle these types loose and cause damage to the canisters
very quickly. Micron uses a single bolt end cap, beautiful and efficient,
which also makes the task of rebuild an incredibly easy job. We know
that many companies will say that they use "this or that" to secure the
rivets, but the bottom line is that these are just layers of fixes to a
poor design. The canister sleeve should not be used as a structural
member of the canister, and that is that. Our competitors products look
nice coming across the parts counter, but if you are going to drop your
hard earned money on a product, then it should be of a quality level
which will last and look good like you expect it to. No coating, seal
or wrap is going to last like T-304 stainless, no matter what someone
tells you.

We like to stress the QUALITY of our construction, as everything looks
the same when coming across the parts counter new, but 6 months or a
year down the road a poor finish forces both ill will and an unnecessary
second purchase on your part. Better to buy quality once, and leave the
problems to others.

We also have made your life with the fuel injection easier then ever
before, as we now have in stock the Micron matched Power Commander,
programmed and mapped specifically for your machine and our exhaust
products. This makes the correct adjustment of the fuel side as simple
as plugging in the Micron matched PC box, with no other adjustments
necessary for maximum performance. But, just in case you ever desire to
make adjustments, our Micron matched PC has the ability to be "rough"
adjusted at roadside for specific conditions, as well as being fully
programmable with your laptop PC to any settings you desire. Fuel,
manifold pressure, ignition timing and throttle position are all at your
disposal, so if your performance upgrades continue, all you have to do
is plug the Micron PC into your laptop to create your new map; the
Micron matched PC is there all the way. Best of all, the Micron
matched PC makes no permanent adjustments to the stock systems, so if
you remove the Micron matched PC, your machine is back to the exact
settings put there by the manufacturer. Fuel adjustments have never
been made more simple, and Micron is there once again. Micron matched
Power Commanders start at $329.95.

Hope we have been of some help, let us know if you have any further
questions. To place an order or locate your nearest AUTHORIZED Micron
dealer, please contact us here again, or call us toll free at
1-888-963-1212,
9-5 CST. Look forward to hearing from you soon, and thanks for your
interest in MICRON!

Click here (http://www.micronexhaust.com/store/photos.htm) to get to
the Micron photo gallery and then simply choose "canisters" for the
make, and "all" for the model to see the color options!

So in short. The U.S. get either the race, the race or the race version of there mufflers. No damn DB reducers for us!

Micron cans (Titanium)

Well I got the cans and WOW they sound great!

Not too loud but loud enough to be heard. 2.25" straight through. With a helmet and earplugs in I can't even hear them at cruising speed on the highway. PERFECT! Bike runs flawless without the Power Commander. I have the snorkle installed but cut some holes out of the front of it to let is suck a little cool air! I installed a ball bearing in the hose from the air cleaner to the PAIR valve solenoid and seems to work well. This way there is no bolt to come out and get sucked into the engine and a mechanic would never see it unless he pulls the hose off and looks inside!

The only problem I am having is the fact that the cans don't match. One is shinier than the other. So I promptly e-mailed Micron and they said no problem and they will hand pick two to match and ship to me. You would think that would be S.O.P. I have been amazed in Microns customer service up to this point and would recommend them to anyone.

I hope they keep it up!

Was interested in a Akrapovic full system for my SV1000. Wrote a letter to the techinfo people and this was their reply:

Dear Sir,

Unfortunately we do not produce complete exhaust system for this bike and we do not plan to develop it in near future.

Best regards,
