I know its not an SV, but I'm hoping some of you V-twin guru's will have the answer. My buddy has a 2000 TL1000S and wants me to help him do a TRE mod to the bike. I registered at TLzone and searched, but did not find any answers. I did the SSTRE mod with the 6.8K resistor on my SV. Will this same procedure work on his TLS or is it a different animal that requires the more complicated switched transistor style mod?? Thanks for any help.

same deal, different ohm/gear than the sv. The (TLR) ecu needs to account for ram air and thus needs to know when it is in 6th and possibly even 5th. if you put a 6.8 on the sv you are not getting the full benefit of the mod. you need the 15k on the sv and the 6.8 on the TLR.

Just as a way out for me I want to disclose that despite the fact I worded this as fact it has been a long time since I have looked at the OHM numbers so it would be best to double check.

There is a web site that has a list of the ohm for each gear that Suzuki uses. I will try and find it.
