Im fed up with dealers telling me their is no profit in tyres for bikes.
I was shown a trade price list for tyres today....To make a comparison my dealer offerred me a replacement michellin pilot sport for my back of the sv for £137 fitted to a loose wheel.
The trade catalogue was showing its cost to the trade as £73.60 +vat.
In other words the dealers are making a big proffit !
Ive opted for the lazy route with a ride in ride out sale with lazer chain alignment for £120 at another tyre dealer.
i weighed the cost of VAT P+P and then fitting at £15 to a loose wheel plus the hassle of me removing the wheel myself and driving to the tyre fitter. The ride in deal seems the best option than an internet order deal.
A few people said to buy a 'pair deal' but ive got 4500 miles with a few left in the back tyre ( its squared off due to motorway use) and a front that shows no sign of wear so it seems a waste to bin the pair when only one is needed.
